If you can find/read bios somewhere on your therapist options, I would look for years of experience, areas of specialty related to what you need to address, along with anything else that might give you some insight as to their personality and approach. Pick the person that feels like the best match. And don't be afraid to shop around. If you go to someone you don't particularly like or feel isn't a good match, there's no harm in trying someone else. Best of luck! |
