Just from reading today's GLP headlines, it is not too hard to imagine our not-too-distant future.

- war overseas (Ukraine or ME) to weaken/divide us
- widening protests
- escalation of the war where all of our resources will be needed to protect corporate interests overseas and the last of America's weath will be spent
- outbreak with travel restrictions to lock the country down
- the overseas war goes bad, and some basic services get interrupted in the homeland, bringing the protests and hardship to international crisis status
- Russia and China intervene and the country gets broken up
