[link to www.dhs.gov (secure)] Legal Immigrants hold a 'green card'. They get drivers licenses, Social Security numbers/cards, pay taxes, register for the draft, etc. They live almost exactly the same as any US citizen. EXCEPT they cannot legally vote. How many state voter registers cross-reference birth certificates? In every state I lived in, you only needed a drivers license/state ID and a bill (electric, phone etc.) to register to vote. I worked with many legal immigrants who voted in USA elections over the years. I even got mocked a few times for being politically active, but never voting. I'm guessing most green card holders don't even know they cannot legally vote. 3-5 million easy. We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-..
