Shaming Skinny girls vs Shaming Fat girls

Being fat and being skinny.

My whole life I was 95 lbs and first thing strangers would say while passing by is "you need to eat more. "
"You won't get a man unless you gain some weight. "
"You're soooo skinny! what do you weigh? Like 100 pounds?
"It's rainy out. You better stay inside or you'll get blown away. "


Now I didnt go into show business or become a celebrity. So I didn't volunteer for strangers to critique me.
When I am working I don't want people to comment on my appearance. I just want to be respected as an adult who has to go out in the world and work to pay bills.


It's very UGLY and RUDE to pick on a young girl and make her feel like a circus freak because of her weight.


When I got pregnant I was worried I wouldn't gain any weight, since it's never been possible before. Well I gained 50lbs.
So I felt NORMAL. And couldn't wait for people to notice I did what they said - gained weight and looked like them.

Guess what they say? Nothing. They are polite and tip toe around my weight gain.
My close relatives have told me my ass got enormous and I am officially fat. They know I take it as a compliment since I always wished to gain weight.

Guess what the strangers say now? "How much have you gained? Only 10lbs?"
"You've only gained weight in your belly. No where else. "


Why do people pick on skinny people but go out of their way to lie and be polite to fat people?

Im dissapointed that nobody is congratulating my accomplishment of doing what they always told me to do and instead are acting like I haven't gained any weight.
