BREAKING - Atlanta State of Emergency - SouthEast Snowmageddon Watch 2017!!

So they have declared a State of Emergency for the Greater Atlanta area and much of North Georgia.

Many meteorologists are saying the "models" look very similar to those from 2014, the famous "Snowmegeddon" year when all the Snow came in very unexpectedly in the middle of the work day, and covered the Metro Atlanta area in up to 4 - 6 inches, causing people to panic and leave work early... which in turn become a major city-wide gridlock situation.

During the 2014 storm, many people including myself, were stuck on ice covered roads for hours and hours. My normal drive home of 15 minutes become a grueling EIGHT HOURS, and another family member of mine was stuck for up to TWELVE hours.

They have declared a State of Emergency to begin by NOON today.

Weather reports are calling for 2 - 4 inches starting sometime later this afternoon; with maybe half an inch of ice on the roads...

Possible additional accumulation over night and into Saturday morning.

They have actually stated that they are concerned this storm could over come the brine treatment they're putting on the roads and they are telling everyone to STAY OFF the roads after dark tonight.
