Sweet Jesus the DMSO stopped all the facial twitching...

Edit to add that as much as I would like to try marijuana or whatever, I get hair follicle tested at work on a regular basis.

Got to keep it 100% legal, prescribed by a physician for any opiates, etc..

EXTREME PAIN VETERAN HERE!
I've suffered with Chronic Pain for 18yrs now due to back neck injuried from sports and car accidents when I was young. I've have 4 Vertabrae fused in my neck and one in my lumbar spine. Also shattered my lower right leg afyer a fall from a 20ft roof fixing Hurricane leaks back in '04.
I was started off on Tylenol w/Codeine but after so many years in extreme pain your tolerance goes up. I ended up on 30mg Oxycontin 3x a day 8yrs ago. It was then I found a miracle medication, at least for me it was, called Suboxone which is a thin film you place under your tongue tiol it dissolves. This medication in the U.S. Is given to patients to help ween them off strong narcotics, bur in Europe it is prescribed as a Pain Medication. I can tell you I had better, more reliably constant relief with this medication than any narcotic. I was kept on this for a few years until I tappered down enough that I could discontinue using it and believe it or not, the best over-the-counter pain medication I've found for me (i'm 6'2 260lbs) is Goody's Orange flavored powder. {has Acetaminophen & Caffine) It kicks in within 15min and the extreme pain becomes a discomfort rather than a debilitating pain.
I feel so bad for you as I know exactly what it feels like to live with an all consuming pain. I pray that God delivers you from this pain and gives you the same ability to cope as he gave me. During my time I managed to maintain my very demanding career as a Sr. Engineer for a Fortune 500 company for 34yrs now. Stay stong and stand firm with your doctors when you get, like one earlier poster said, "The Talk". They'll try to make you out to be a drug addict when I can already tell that all you want is your life back. Stay strong and know people care about you and you are never alone. Keep talking about it with others who have lived it because I don't care how much compassion and empathy someone has, until you've lived at least 1 month in extreme constant pain that you fear will never go away you'll never truly understand what CHRONIC LEVEL 10 PAIN is.
God be with you OP!
