Re: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. What is the most correct choice?
I'm curious why your poll didn't specifically include "manufacturing" goods?

We USED to make the things we used and exported the balance.

Then we started exporting the equipment and technology to make those things, i.e. we exported the jobs instead of the actual goods.

What, in my opinion, we NEED to do is stop creating the mindset that EVERYONE has to go to college; we've dumbed down higher education and made parents ashamed if their kids actually want to learn a trade or how to make things for a living.

Your poll, similarly, doesn't talk about the good paying jobs, lots of them that are going unfilled and forcing employers to automate because they cannot find people who want to weld, for example.

Any number of robotic welding systems cost well upward of a million dollars or more. That's a $20 per hour job plus benefits, for 30-35 years by which time the machine will have needed replacement.

Manufacturing was not excluded, it is inherent in the mix of all jobs possible. If one goes off world or makes the deserts bloom manufactured goods are required.

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. What is the most correct choice?

1. Jobs are so limited and the number chasing them is so large, it is a disaster.
2. We need to find other ways to give people purpose beyond their jobs.
3. We need to limit automation and robotics until we find ways to employ real people.
4. People need to stay in training and school longer to limit the number of jobs needed.
5. People need to work half the normal work week at full pay and benefits.
6. There are simply too many people seeking jobs, we need earlier retirement.
7. There too many people period, we need to reduce the birth rate.
8. We need to increase the death rate.
9. Some people need to be classified unemployable.
10. We need to draft young people into the military and other service programs.
11. We need to create a large and ambitious race to Mars and off planet locations.
12. We need to make the deserts bloom and the oceans produce abundance.

Trump and the Pope are correct; jobs are the holy grail of the future. Presently, Jobs are the central issue for giving humans purpose. Without purpose, people perish. Jobs give us hope, self-worth and dignity; without hope no one thrives.

I think every should have skin in the game and work but I also think work hours should be cut in half with the same pay.

its in the cash in system, theyve killed inflation and are hoarding cash.if cash flowed freely then jobs would be created.i know,i lived like a king from 1998 to 2000.
the issue is over population due to success, folks make kids when money flows freely.
tptb are testing the sheep to see where the happy median is.
personally iwant mars turned into a real planet before colonization.with real atmosphere and a real magnetic field.
with tr3b super tugs,we could redirect asteroids and meteors into it.while employing millions in a space race.
we need the military industrial complex to step away from war and into the future.and not a future of slaves.
guaranteed homes, food,a real education, time is running short and our current challenges is shitty leadership and greed by too much freemasonic terrorism.

Re: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. What is the most correct choice?
People say there will always be more jobs created from technology.

The technology in the past was created to enhance and help the workers. The technology coming out today involves replacing the workers.

In the 1800's, there were over 20 million horses in US that were used for Entertainment, Harvesting Fields, Transportation, and so on.

The engine replaced the horse and as a consequence the horse population dropped to 4.5 million in 1959.

Where are all the horses? They were no longer needed.

People say but those were horses, not humans.

Except there are humans that look down on others as useless eaters so those are looked at just like the horses if not worse

I have no faith in the systems and entities of humanity which organize and govern our live. Even humanity on a personal single level, itself. No faith what so ever.

Which leads me to believe, the corporations, wealthy, elite class, dont give-a-rats-fuck, about you. they dont care. die. they dont care. And you're neighbor is the same....

Trump is trying but these forces are strong.

actually, check that; I do have faith in humanity.

When the lower level participants of this system, have had enough, they will organize...and, well, start blowing shit up.

Were not even close to that point. Too much bread and circus right now.....but, we are fighting for and hoping for, civilization......but eventually...

a big reset will be needed....
it wont be pretty.

thats my guess....

meanwhile.... go fight for that cheese you fucking rat.

Well, I am not much of religious person, the bible says the meek shall inherit the earth.

Logically speaking, the elites are the winners right now but are always the losers in the end every time.

Of course, a new elite takes over and the process repeats.

Tis the nature of humanity
Tis a season and a cycle for everything

The elites time is almost up unless they rectify the situation

But they will not because human greed and "its other peoples problems not mine" attitude will ensure their defeat.

i woulld add since women have entered the workforce in such large numbers this has been the major factor in all our current social problems..and we are only just starting to see the flow on effects from this, its only gonna get worse before it gets better and until this modern philosophy is changed the problems will persist
