I have birds eye view. Not a cop or anything but just a birdseye. I see/saw many vagrant types get picked up by paddy wagons last couple days. Today(this morning) was a blitz. Lots of street peeps acting crazy and deranged lately during the last few days. I think they are desperate and prefer jail over the holidays

There is no privacy. Many would just have cots to sleep on... Look what a con gets in jail... 3 meals a day. Color TV, usually cable. A bed mat that is softer than a cot. A pillow and blanket. Any ailments are taken care of by the State. You may share a semi-private cell and you get to learn a trade or go to the weight room for free. The Staff will help you get your GED or college degree all for free.... That is why many homeless prefer jail....

Petty stuff though. Just to get locked up for over the weekend it seems like. These would be desperate people. Mostly younger types mid to higher 20's and early 30 year olds. I think they know its a better deal for them to go to city cells over the long weekend rather than the shelters or the streets.
