Activists blockaded the Polish parliament building in protest of the right-wing government's "illegal" budget bill, press restrictions.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, thousands of activists surrounded the Polish parliament building, blocking the exit of Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski to protest right-wing Law and Justice party’s “illegal” budget bill and attempts to curb press access to the legislature. After almost three hours protesters were violently removed, with police reportedly using tear gas.
