Learning Russian? Would you be labeled a Commie in society? | |

My teacher was an amazing man and helped me through school in a great many of my subjects and remains to this day, one of the best men i have ever met. Russian is an interesting language when dealing with genders of words and it fascinated me. I remember learning quite a bit but never quite getting a hang of my'accent'. I never really used it much over the years. Quoting: Dust It Off Lately though with all the associations with Russia once again, I've started relearning the language and trying to become fluent. I am amazed with how easy i picked it back up again. I cant help but feel that in this day and age, knowing Russian might safe my life one day (or who knows it might condemn me) Im curious How many others know Russian well? Or if you don't, have you ever considered learning it? And what complications might one have to live with in a society where many think Russia is a threat? zdrastvoot. kak dela. do svedanya. :) |

Are you saying you belong to a society that doesn't know Russia hasn't been communist for 25 years? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72452629 The majority of society? I would say majority of people i know would still label Russia Communist. Dont know any better. Do i belong to that society? Lord No. I would hope not geez. I used the word to bring attention to the topic as ive been called a commie by some people recently. |
