Can I respond myself, without a lawyer?

I think I told you to get a lawyer a long time ago. You didn't tell me about a lawyer, but that's besides the point. So, would writing a letter to their lawyer stop them? If you explain what's going on he should be worried about what will come out in court, which is why they wouldn't get what they want. But you should just get a lawyer yourself. So I should send the letter then. I haven't found the right lawyer yet. Thanks for the responses. They are attacking from so many angles. Will they fix the plumbing clog they ordered to bldg supt to cause?
