I was looking into why it wasnt finished by the masons.

I know it was almost fully built, i attended concerts at Veterans auditorium next door.
Came across the college link and figured amone would poke around and find interest.

Im looking more for theories why it wasnt finished.... Lack of money isnt a problem with the masonic lodges.

Full outside structure and roof were done in the 20s, and it was fairly dry inside til the 70s when the roof caved in.

Alternatives are what im looking for, like a fight with the state over permits, not making proper payment, etc.

Providence was THE center of the mob in NY, Boston, and Philly until it caved in the 80s. That angle may be involved too, black hand was strong in the 20s in the northeast and there may have been some type of disagreement.

Who knows? Just dont seem right that a masonic temple gets started, 75pct done and never finished.
