GLP'ers american military, a simple question
Suppose someone is saying he has been "in the military", but I have reasons to suspect he is lying. What can I do to expose him as a fake?

ask him what his M.O.S. was. Look it up first so you know the what the numbers/letters mean. And then say oh, so your training was at fort Herd or someother bogus fort/station name. MOS is for army, look up the other services job codes/bases to find his. This is what I use to find fake fuckers.

Thought about that. Asking ranking and base. But since the "conversation" is through internet, he could google it and give some valid answer. I don't about the laws in USA, but if someone was in the military, is it publicly known? I mean, is there a way to verify his name somewhere?

Re: GLP'ers american military, a simple question
There's a series of questions you could ask like the one mentioned earlier regarding his M.O.S. Ask him where his last duty station was, who his CO was, what rank, how many tours, etc. Anyone who's served can pick up on the b.s. pretty quickly usually. If you do by chance find out that he's full of it, blast it here & everywhere you can. We'll make em famous...

I forgot to add, you used to could find a soldier online if they were active duty but after 9/11 they quit that. For good reason too.

Re: GLP'ers american military, a simple question
Well, the guy is one of those crazy flat earthers. He claims he has "written an algorythm" which he shared with MIT professors(no names quoted) and he claims they told him, it was a "water divisor" that he was a genius and all that. But it was all "in conversations", the only thing he has concerning that is supposedly a hand written note from one of the professors(again, no names) and that he shared his algorythm with JPL and they were astonished. Judging by the way he speaks alone, I can clearly see he has never put out any essay on anything. All he has are claims, claims and more claims. When asked, all he does is answer "fuck off troll, fucking paid shill! You either take my word for it of get the fuck off!"... Poor deluded lying man. There are tons of stupid videos about flat earth and some other bulshit. This is it: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

The thing is everything he claims to have been or done, is always a generic term. "I've been in the military", "I'm a developer", "Made an algorythm". All generic terms no specific military branch, post, MOS nor nothing.

I'm almost positive all military documents that are not classified which would be most service records can be found at the National archive. Since most people will not identify their complete name and SSAN you would probably never know.

However, many military careers can be verified just by a google of name and rank. My career is easily traced if you just knew my name, rank and service.

be very careful. Take everthing with abit of skepticism...

ask what branch and few details; find someone from that branch they'll be able to pick out things that don't fit immediately.

Somethings are easy to pick out and even cross service lines; I.E. Young people claiming high enlisted or officer ranks..

The Airforce has "Air Force Specialty codes"foreach field (afsc); The Armoy has "MOS"..
Navy and Marines I am not familiar with :

BUT I'm sure they have their equivalents.

"It's classified I can't tell you my job"is a dead give away of a bullshit artist

If he's active duty; and really a "secret squirrel" he'll have an innocuous, believable, mundane, well rehearsed cover story. And you'll never know anyway.

Just be aware that MOS's, rates, job codes do change from time to time ... and if he is a valor stealing piece of shit he'll probably be schooled up on some of this stuff.

I'll run the name through together we served and rally point for ya.

Thanks! Will be great to have some help from someone aware of the military stuff. I have no idea on most of the things people talk about in "military jargon", but that guy I could bet is not a vet. I can tell almost for sure he knows squat about IT or programming. I work with this shit(IT) for the last 20 years, I'm pretty sure I know some stuff about it and I can recognize an imposter. But regarding military background, I'm clueless.

Seems you don't have the slightest concept of honor or the US military. The US military swears allegiance to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic. No one in the US military (that I knew) ever wanted anything to do with Bankers or Lobbyists. We called them Beltway Bandits and they were despised by one and all.

1 - Military is what makes you be able to tell this without getting shot in the head. They are the ones defending your countries liberties. There might be corruption and political manipulation making unecessary wars, I would agree with that. But this doesn't make the soldiers fighting less honorable.
2 - Those men and women are not by any means to be taken as fools or tools. They also know what is going on, but they fulfill their duty, regardless of their opinion. Most will agree that some war fronts are a waste of valuable military resources(mainly people), but its not their choice.
3 - Honor is something you probably don't understand so you can't say squat about it.

Ask them what their military serial number is. I think that everyone that has been in the military has it memorized. Mine is an alphabet letter and 6 digits. After nearly 50 years, I can recite it on a moment's notice.

Hmmm. . . I went on active duty in 1973. We never used the Military Serial number. We used our Social Security Number. Depends when you were in the military.
