GLP mostly denigrates reason, education, science, technology, prosperity, and humanism.

OP! Keep seeking! The fact that you realize that there is a God is the first step! God loves you and He desires to be known by you. He actually came to earth and died for you so that your would never be separated from Him. He is reaching out to you right now and is patiently waiting on you to move closer to Him. The God you are realizing exists, has revealed Himself in the Bible. He is Jesus Christ, the Lord. Get a Bible and read the Book of John. That is a good place to start! Again, keep seeking!
