Unbelievable: Tesco refused to serve man olive oil for his dog

A dog owner has said he was left stunned after Tesco refused to serve him olive oil because he told them he wanted it for his spaniel.

Nick Williams had tried to purchase a pipette of olive oil at the pharmacy in Tesco, St Oswald’s, Gloucester, so he could treat his 12-year-old spaniel’s infected ears.

However, when the counter assistant heard him say the oil was for a dog and not a human he said she refused to sell it to him.

‘I asked her if they had any of those oil drops with the pipette in and she gave me the box. I said I’m not bothered what it was so long as it was olive oil as it’s for my dog, Shem,’ he said.
