I think we just had an earthquake in the Midwest.
I'm in Kansas City and just felt some shaking. It rocked my bed for a minute.

Do you have fracking near you? Could be a frack quake, if not than congrats you had a full blown earthquake. Hope all the structure is still good and power remains on.

I am in omaha. SOMETHING happening. No wind but tree swing oscillating. I am floating back and forth ever so gently.

Holy fuck and we got some sweet distant humming /electric HF cycling echos.

Cool

It wasn't nearly as strong as the early morning quake we had about a month ago. That one has me on edge because my old house has a number of cracks in the plaster from it.

I can feel the 4.0's when I'm lying in bed. I have an old creaky spring mattress, so any little movement sends it rocking. I though it was my cat giving herself a bath on the bed and then realized she wasnt in the room. But it was that slight rocking feeling.

Agreed... probably woukdve thought just getting tired if I didn't see the thread.

Definitely getting more shallow now.

That "big" one was enough to feel like I was on a very gentle boat being rocked. Then saw pendelum movements and I couldn't believe it.

Something is weird with these quakes some of the movement is not harmonic it's more of small steps and I swear it's still changing my equilibrium and fades in and out and noises still there bur thats not uncommon whatever is going on with strange noise nobody seems to question it..

That is interesting! I've heard of all kinds of strange things happening before and during quakes.

Long ago I slept on a bed like that for a few nights - then slept on the floor till I could get a different bed. I used a sleeping bag and mat under it on the floor. Back felt much better in the morning.
