Anonymous Coward User ID: 73289909 United Kingdom 10/31/2016 04:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i dont normally bother, but today what i did was buy 10 bags of £1 sweets that a charity called Macmillan, which provides cancer care nurses across the UK puts on shop counter across the country just 20 minutes ago, a couple of small kids knocked, with their mum, and the looks on their faces when i gave them two bags each was priceless i dont like the evil nature of this so called festival, or whatever it is you call it, but at least I can provide some money for a vital charity, and put smiles on little ones faces at the same time i dont know if you have a similar charity providing sweets like this in your part of the world, but i highly recommend it |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72530568 Old candy - from last years day-after sale- is about the worst I've done. I was thinking about getting a bag of NIBS and handing one out to each kid. One NIB. When I was a kid, the house that handed out apples always had apples smashed on their driveway and all over the next morning. Weiner's emails? Information is the most dangerous weapon of all ... I'm not a big fan of 'halloween' - used to be a pretty innocent time but in the last 20 years or so has become more and more demonic in nature. We have at times handed out full bags of Disney candy that we brought back from Disney world. Traded in our snack credits for bags of candy when it was time to go. One time we ended up with 24 or so bags. We don't get many kids at our door. Yes, good idea to support good charities if you are going to just hand it away anyway. |
