How does this work pertaining to one's job? America. Yay. Freedom of speech. Freedom to protest. I'm perplexed though. All of the professional athletes who, as oflate have been "protesting" and "boycotting" during games and official team functions...I didn't know that while on company time one was able to excersize these liberties, are they not beholden to their team and obligated to conduct themselves professionally during all tea obligations? Case in point, now, NY Knicks new signee Joakim Noah and his refusal to attend the teams annual dinner with West Point cadets, per his "anti war" stance. Wouldn't this be a "conduct detrimental" from a contractual point of view? Whatever, the USMA calls it, "innappropriate", which speaking purely from an occupationally obligated (assuming it's a compulsory gathering) point of view they are correct.
