With hindsight of course your life could have been more,, BUT more WHAT ??? I never intended to have 4 kids and 2 X wives, but it happened, guess what, Kids all turned out AWESOME.. ex wifes and I are still friends, no hate, no backstabbing, 3 grandkids I love, 33 years at a job I expected to last 3 at the most.... not a bad life, Still may to get to to be a motorcycle bum yet !! and travel/camp my way around the USA on a motorcycle, been a dream since I was 12, and I'm 57 now, still have the dream. And yeah, IT"S NEVER TOO LATE !!!!!

Working until we can retire is messed up. The 'golden years' rarely end up golden. I don't think we're meant to be slaving away, passing the majority of our days at work or trying to earn money to survive. How is that living? It's not. That is a waste to me. If I could find a way to move away from all of this, I would.

For some reason I have been able to corrupt my reality to the point I enjoy my job. Not because it defines who I am but through the contrast it brings. Especially for the situatuons you encounter that you would not see outside of that environment. It teaches you about life, if you pay attention.

And it makes the home life better, different.

No, I feel like I have accomplished more than I ever imagined, and ended up in the best possible situation, after taking some really big chances along the way. It all came together, miraculously, about three years ago. It seems I had to suffer a while to get here.

Stay positive, it makes a difference. hf

FIve year plan: I'm going Thoreau. I fully intend to build a cabin for my family and use my home as a rental. Will live meagerly, but we aren't particularly materialistic anyway.
Thats's the idea, now the followthrough.
 Quoting: Deplorable Michael Deschain

My ultimate dream since I can remember has been to live in a cabin in the woods.

I hope you manage to make this happen for you and your family. :)

Thank you, and of course, I hope that you realize your cabin dream as well.
