I brought a few things for a sort of "show and tell" but even that didn't spark much interest. This was surprising, especially given the subject matter (Aleister Crowley) and the fact that there was a (real) portrait on the wall that was sub-par to what I brought to show:  What I brought wasn't a portrait or a consciously drawn piece, but a subconsciously (psychically) produced automatic drawing that took somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds to make with "random" strokes... This is not to say that OTO does not study. It's actually a big part of initiation--before, during, and after. I usually reread Liber LXV after every initiation and every time I learn something new. Mass is a show until you've taken a few initiations. It is very different after III°. |
