They do that when they shutdown the highway for VIPs, who don't like sharing a highway with peasants.

They probably have orders to pull old people over and shake them down for cash--if it was Ok, they just steal their cash and say it had traces of drugs on it.

The body of a Shelby officer who died after being shot over the weekend is scheduled to be escorted to a funeral home Tuesday afternoon.

Shelby Police Officer Tim Brackeen was attempting to serve a warrant for 23-year-old Irving Fenner, Jr. near Parkview Street early Saturday morning when Fenner allegedly shot Brackeen in the torso.

Officials say Brackeen passed away Monday morning at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Brackeen's body will be moved between noon and 2 p.m. from the Mecklenburg Medical Examiner's Office to the Cecil Burton Funeral Home in Shelby, according to a source.
