This is David’s seventh heart transplant. [ link to anonhq.com]    I doubt it's the transplanted hearts that are failing. More like everything in his decrepit body is failing. A body that old can barely support life anymore. I think if he received the heart of a 20-year-old it would still fail because the veins/arteries have probably shrunk to nothing so not much blood gets through. No circulation, not much heart activity.
