Between this thread and yesterday's 80's thread there has been a good amount of that magical elixir that I call nostalgia...
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

******************************

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

******************************

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

Captain James T. Kirk = Donald J. Trump

The similarities are astounding. Both ladies men. Both have balls the size of boulders. Both don't hesitate to speak up when needed. I could go on all night but you get the idea...

You can thank me and the thousands of other snot nose kids in Jr. High that got a country wide campaign to send letter's to the producers of Star Trek! To keep the series running. Even though, it only lasted another year after everyone's efforts. All True.
Scotty "James Doohan" came to my town and obviously I was older by then but I had seen the guy on Local TV, later heard from a friend down at the station said he was on point for the ladies.. TBL-illumdance

Now that would have been fun. Would loved to have been there! I didn't know anyone charged for flippin' autographs till I heard Shatner did before he quit giving them all together.
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Shatner charged 70 bucks for his autograph at NY Comic Con a couple years ago....the line was a mile long too....I loved getting Stan Lee's autograph, this year is his last con....he had the longest line...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15483798

To me, that is BS. We paid to watch the movies, lol
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Years and years ago, I got a Kirk/Spock 8x10 autographed by Shatner and Nimoy.

I could probably buy a house for what I'd sell that for today.

If I'd sell it. Which I won't.
