Re: Happy 50th Anniversary Star Trek!
My wife and I attended the Star Trek Missions convention in NYC.....fun times....Walter Koenig (Chekov) looks frail....the next gen panel was cool except some guy proposed to his GF during the Q&A....seems she said no....Awkwaaaaaard....

Rod Roddenberry was pretty cool....he didn't charge for autograph and chatted with fans about his father......Julie and Adam Nimoy was also there to talk about their father.....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15483798

Now that would have been fun. Would loved to have been there! I didn't know anyone charged for flippin' autographs till I heard Shatner did before he quit giving them all together.
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Shatner charged 70 bucks for his autograph at NY Comic Con a couple years ago....the line was a mile long too....I loved getting Stan Lee's autograph, this year is his last con....he had the longest line...

Did Nostradamus saw Star Trek and was Spock his favourite?, you decide..

The Sun hidden eclipsed by Mercury
Will be placed only second in the sky:
Of Vulcan Hermes will be made into food,
The Sun will be seen pure, glowing red and golden.

C5 Q77
All degrees of Ecclesiastical honor
Will be changed to that of Jupitor and Quirinus:
The priest of Quirinus to one of Mars,
Then a King of France will make him one of Vulcan.

C9 Q74
In the city of Fertsod homicide,
Again, and again many oxen plow no sacrifice:
Return again to the honors of Artemis,
And to Vulcan bodies dead one to bury.

Vulcan derive from one of the Romans God of Fire. Vulcan was the name of the first blacksmith. Artemis is also Diana the royal princess assassinated in late August 1997. A return again to the honor is 2017 since the first honor after 10 years was 2007.

Is Nostradamuhs cleverly telling us Leonard Nimoy will pass away in August 2017?. In other Quatrain a great shaking in the month of May (2017?) and a greater misery approaching (August 2017?), with too many bodies to burn to avoid plague.

Re: Happy 50th Anniversary Star Trek!
This was a huge deal back in the day.

"Plato's Stepchildren" is the tenth episode of the third season of the original science fiction television series, Star Trek, first broadcast November 22, 1968. It is episode No. 65, production No. 67, written by Meyer Dolinsky, and directed by David Alexander. This episode is notable for depicting an inter-racial kiss between a white man (Kirk) and a black woman (Uhura), which was daring for 1960s US television.

 Quoting: WhiteAngel

It's not just "notable" for that scene: The storyline of the entire episode was written just for that one scene.

Re: Happy 50th Anniversary Star Trek!
Captain James T. Kirk = Donald J. Trump

The similarities are astounding. Both ladies men. Both have balls the size of boulders. Both don't hesitate to speak up when needed. I could go on all night but you get the idea...

(Also, Charles Foster Kane = Donald J. Trump)

Captain Kirk lecturing Obama on the importance of the U.S. Constitution:

William Shatner's best acting job and let's be honest, how can you NOT have a lump in your throat after hearing that ?
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

******************************

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

******************************

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

GLP
