Here is some further information. Being a person that has an illness that requires me to take steroids on occasion, I believe her cough is from steroid use. This came to me because I just went off a round of steroids and I have the same issue periodically. It's not a cough like you have with a cold but more so a cough from being dry. Steroids make you retain water so then you take a diuretic...then you get too dry/dehydrated.
