I eat mostly raw veggies and fruit but I still eat crap too (just very little of it). I really think diet helpa. There are some great anti-inflammatory foods out there. I'll post a link in a moment...another thing that helps is exercise. It's hard to muster up the energy for a workout but at least walk around the block every day. Even if you don't want to. It helps. But even with diet and exercise, sometimes the pain is just too bad. I take up to 150 mg tramadol a day when I have a flare. But I take it 50 at a time. Good luck op Goodbye, halcyon days... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8058971 This ^ Arthritis is an inflammatory condition and one can significantly reduce the inflammation by cutting out all sugars and consuming A LOT of beneficial oils like fish oil, olive oil, MCT oil (coconut oil), avocados, organic (preferably raw, grass-fed) butter. Daily exercise and deep sleep is also imperative. |

See also this from Mercola: It's tragic that conventional medicine doesn't promote lifestyle changes before drugs for this condition, considering the severe side effects of the drugs. While I was still in medical practice, I treated about 3,000 rheumatoid arthritis cases — far more than most general practitioners will ever see. Approximately 80 percent of them were able to achieve significant improvement or complete remission. Last year I had the pleasure of interviewing a former patient of mine, Sarah Allen, who put her RA into remission after following my nutritional and lifestyle recommendations for two years. Success stories like Sarah's reveal that there IS hope for RA sufferers beyond toxic drug treatments. But it requires dedication to an overall healthy lifestyle. I find it supremely unfortunate that so many people are completely unaware of the fact that lifestyle changes can go a long way in the treatment of RA. You told us you have pain and you told us you're addicted to Tramadol. Pain-reducing lifestyle changes were suggested (which requires self discipline and strict adhurence). They WILL help. You can naturally reduce your pain and you can reduce or eliminate your addiction to Tramadol. It CAN be done. If you get a professional's help, your withdrawl symptoms can be managed and reduced, but it also requires some willpower on your part. Make a plan. Assemble trusted, wise friends, find a knowlegable health professional, resolve to do it and pray! You CAN do it. |
