A GP who died from a rare form of cancer has revealed her difficulties in getting diagnosed by other medical professionals in a posthumous blog.

Writing in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) online Dr Lisa Steen described how she 'spent two years wandering in the wilderness of the medically unexplained' before she was finally diagnosed with kidney cancer with multiple bone metastases in July 2014.

Maybe so but I think medical research is going backwards now certain remedies are banned ..

How sympathetic of you.

The UK has free medical care. Therefore, the NHS is not going to pay for a simple PET Scan, which could have shown the cancer immediately, but costs thousands of dollars. That is why people are not getting diagnosed until it's too late.
