WTF ? RAIN Rain and more rain POLL
POLL: is this the wettest year you've ever experienced ?
 yes
yes with the most lightening and thunder effer too
 no- I live in California
no - its pretty "normal" where I live
no - but we have had our share of "extreme" weather

I honestly don't think I have ever experienced as much rain, as we are having this year -

I live in Central Co and we get lots of "weather" but it notoriously changes from minute to minute because of the constant winds ... the saying is " don't like the weather - wait 15 minutes"

and We have four seasons here too - but if the truth be known, we don't get as much snow as some East coast states and it is typically HOT and DRY in August ... but not this year ... it is cool and wet

maybe Nature is trying to wash all the nasty chemtrails out of the atmosphere ? ya think?

It has been POURing - almost non stop, with splats of hail, since 11 o'clock today ... and when I pulled up the weather map and zoomed out - I see almost the entire nation (east of me)is experiencing RAIN - including Baton Rouge( hard again)
but with the glaring exception of California - even Phoenix is wet
where is all this water coming from - it seems to be materializing right over my head as I watch the radar - oceans of water - nowhere near the oceans - pouring down, complete with thunder and lightening galore --- it is like the aftermath of a hurrican - without the high winds - inland

so my question is - is this the wettest year you've ever experienced ?

Yep, went for a walk through the woods the other day and there are mushrooms all over the ground, red, yellow and white colors.

Add Tornados OP. Indiana has had at least 15 tornadoes in the last week or two.

We are fishers of men. Fishermen don't bang gongs and scream to catch fish. They "wisely" bait their hooks and capture the imagination of the fish.

Please make it rain in Oregon.

I want to live in a temperate rainforest again.

I don't want it to be summer anymore.

Please?

West Texas, end of August my yard is nearly always a nice burnt brown color. It is emerald green, thick and I haven't watered it but maybe 5 times all year.

Yes, and in northern Indiana we just had 8" record of rain. I think it rained non-stop from noon to midnight give or take. Basements were collapsing and boats were riding down the streets. Now the mosquitoes are in overdrive with their virus.

Re: WTF ? RAIN Rain and more rain POLL
I used to live in NE San Antonio. One day, my rain gauge said 11 inches. That didn't even make the local news. My brother, far away in Washington State, called to talk to me about the rain we had received - as he has seen it on the news and was concerned about. I was unalarmed because in San Antonio we had four seasons: Heat, humidity, flood and tornado. It was flood season and most natives knew what to do. No big deal...

I got to work and back just fine. Cities who receive such massive amount of rain tend to prepare their infrastructure for it.....

I have been on this planet for 53 years and lived all over the USA. Nothing is going on here, move along, it is called "weather".

"Weather" has cycles. It is all a cycle folks, one year cold, or two years cold, one year hot and humid, another kinda dry. One year cloudy, another not. One or two years, heavy/wet snow, other years light and cold snow. I know, I shoveled it.

I have been watching this my entire life.

I am old enough to watch the government "alarm cycles" go from this: an ice age is coming...to, we got global warming coming, etc.

I have seen at least 5 cycles of the government "we gonna die in a new ice age" and "we gonna die from heat".

I am sick and tired of hearing it all from the government. Their records only, realistically, go back a hundred years or so. They can do all the core samples they want of arctic ice, but it is not the true story.

Government is scum. Their people are overpaid and do not know what the hell they are talking about.

I don't hear anyone panicking in here. All OP asked was, "is this the wettest year you've ever experienced?" I've been on this planet 51 years and it IS the wettest I've experienced. That's pretty much all that's being said.

yep, I am thirty miles E of the springs - and just amazed at how much water we are getting (today) this Summer - like someone else said, my fields are usually golden brown, by August - not only are they still green (and growing strong) but they are lush and deep - even with my livestock munching them down - I don't think we have gone three days without rain, since March ... never seen hail after mid June - but it has hailed big time this year - busting through the pannels on my green house ... and continued to hail right up until today ???

did you notice the Peak is covered with snow ?

Re: WTF ? RAIN Rain and more rain POLL
Here in north Texas we have had a record cold rainy August. This winter will be the worst/coldest in a thousand years. If Katla blows 2017 will be known as the year without a summer or 2000 and froze to death. Welcome to the new ice age.
