And I know we all are wondering what happened to Jade Helm?

I personally think that it would have to be an event that would effect the majority of the U.S. or the world before Obama could declare martial law.

It's going to have to be something bigger than just a tsunami happening over a portion of one of the coastlines.

I'd like to know what you all think? How do you think this will all take place? Do you believe Obama will cause something huge to happen before the elections so he can stay in office?

I don't know what the hell is going on anymore, OP. I'm very concerned that this Winter for North Texas will be very much devastating. Devastating in the way of intense cold and weather patterns. That has been the pattern so far whenever we've had temps go into the 80*F's for daytime highs in August. We don't start getting into the 80*F's again till about mid September to early October. It's been wet and rainy fairly consistent for about two weeks now here in North Texas alongside "chilly" August temps. Normal North Texas August daytime highs range from 100* - 110*F. So you can imagine the 80*F range is a major temperature drop for an area that is supposed to be an easy-bake oven this time of the year. The only storms we're supposed to be getting this time of the year are popcorn storms that drift aimlessly till the sun sets when they all dissipate almost in unison.

My mom said a week or so ago the reason why the trees are losing their leaves is because it's been so dry here. That doesn't really explain why they started to slowly lose their leaves back in about mid-June of this year when it was fairly rainy much of the time around these parts. Not only that more and more trees have been acting months before Autumn that it is indeed Autumn. As in more and more trees are losing their leaves, discoloring their leaves before letting them fall. Couple in the consistent 80*F's temps we've been getting for about two weeks now... and I have to seriously wonder what's going on weather wise. This is very unusual out here.

I've been getting very bad feelings since last Winter that something very big, very cold, very violent is coming for my area. Last Winter was practically an Indian Winter which means in Texas dialect that it was a very warm Winter. With these recent and still continuing wet, rainy, and 80*F's weather these same feelings about a frigid and violent Winter has only intensified on their own. So I've been wondering if this Winter for North Texas is supposed to be as bad as it has been for the North/East parts of this country during the last few Winters. If so... North Texas will undoubtedly be devastated. Our roads can't handle intense cold, let alone harsh Winter weather.

So damn tired of this fear-based reality.

I'm also from Texas in the panhandle and even though I consider us to be the most northern part of the state, most people think the Dallas area is north. Which part of Texas are you referring to as north?

In our part of the state, the actual 'tornado alley' has shifted east somewhat and we aren't in the center of it anymore. It seems like Dallas and the eastern part of Texas is getting hit more than anyone else...well besides the flooding in Houston....

From my understanding, OP, on how Texas is geographically labelled is North Texas encompasses most of the counties up to Hunt to the one with Fort Worth, TX up to the Red River counties north. I think your area is simply known as West Texas which is the biggest chunk of Texas. This means that even the panhandle portion of Texas is merely considered part of West Texas. Everything East of Hunt County till somewhere around Houston is considered East Texas and Houston's area is South Texas. I think Austin is considered to be in Central Texas.

Yeah really about the tornadoes. I've been noticing for years now that high winds and tornadoes have been striking many cities and towns in my area with slowly increasing frequency and ferocity. Sometime last year I think it was there was a tornado in my town.

It was produced by a supercell that stayed over the north part of town which apparently caused alot of damages to trailer parks and some of Dark Town too. Dark Town being where the bulk of black people live here in Greenville... the place where the cops fear to tread really.
