UGH. I worked at Wal-Mart as well one time. I wanted to pulled my hair out too. We didn't have enough employees and I was working hard as I can. I was getting nowhere serving customers no matter how hard I work. It kept getting worse and worse at Wal-Mart. I'm glad I left Wal-Mart. Big relief.

My wife is a dept manager. Fucking 6+ years there and stuck at 12$ an hour. Getting ready to ship her off to a fucking 'training camp' out of state for a couple weeks to learn meaningless bullshit.

Meanwhile, they've recently been firing people left and right who've been there for years and years for trivial shit to replace them with minimum wage millennial fucktards.

No matter how good a worker you may be, I wouldn't EVER call wallyworld a secure job.

I briefly worked at Walmart for a couple of weeks back in 1999. It was my first job. I had no experience, no training.

My first night, they put me in the back room to watch "training videos" which amounted to nothing. The only think I can remember from those is being told that I'm supposed to greet every customer who comes within a certain distance. No practical information on working the job in the department they had assigned me to, which was pets.

My second day, I came in expecting more training. Discovered I was in pets by myself, with no information on what I was supposed to be doing other than straightening the shelves. Customers come in and start asking me about the fish. What size aquarium do we need for these fish? Will these fish get along if I put them together. What kind of food does this fish eat, and how much?

Obviously, none of this was in the training video. The only reason I lasted as long as I did was because the pets department was right next to layaway, and the girl working in that department actually knew about fish and could answer their questions. If not for that, I wouldn't have even lasted as long as I did.

Walmart is awful.
