I thought I would share the cure for migraine headaches to my glp family. |
Migraine free User ID: 68767789 United States 08/05/2016 11:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I thought I would share the cure for migraine headaches to my glp family. Since I was in elementary school some 35 years ago I would get migraines. These excruciating headaches lasted for 30-35 years, up until about a year or so ago. I tried everything, nothing worked. So blah blah blah I could go on about how bad they were but anyone who gets them knows how bad they are.
About a year or two ago I read a small article about magnesium and how it MAY help. I've tried it all before but never this. So I decided to give it a try, it's very inexpensive so after a week I was still getting them. I was about to give up but I figured wth, I bought em, I might as well keep taking them. I took one 400mg pill every night before bed and the second week I still had one or two. 3rd week I got 1 or 2. I was noticing that I haven't woken up with any for a while (which were always the worst). After 6 weeks of taking that 400mg of magnesium, they were all but gone.
I still get headaches from time to time but nothing close to a migraine and when I do get one I dump a packet of that BC powder on my tongue, wash it down and it goes right away.
I also wash down a pack of that BC powder and a coq10 every night before I goto bed along with a bottle of water.
I hope that anyone who suffers from migraines that reads this gives it a try and it helps. The thing that really gets me is that there has only ever been a couple small studies done about magnesium deficiency and migraines and all have shown a positive link and it's not more well known. I hated life for a long time and it was such a simple fix.
There is hope. I guess it takes a few weeks to show the benefits but it does work. I bet my life on it and I'm glad to share this little known success story to my online family. Good luck! |

Most people are low in magnesium. It helps a lot of symptoms. Take with calcium. A product called "CalM" has both in powder form. |

OP, you really shouldn't take BC every day. Check into the amount of aspirin in the BC. Aspirin is not a benign drug, it can have several life-threatening effects. Congrats on the end of your migraines, tho. -.. . .- -.. / -- .- -. / .-- .- .-.. -.- .. -. --.

I'll tell my friend who suffers from migraines. I take magnesium and potassium for restless leg syndrome. It works good for that, too. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70416633 My daughter and I use a supplement in pill form called MyoCalm, calcium+magnesium with a hint of passionflower extract. Ironically enough, the gematria value of my full name matches that of 'leg cramps are often caused by a calcium deficiency'. |

[ link to www.migrainedisorders.org] Magnesium 400 mg daily It reduces migraine symptoms 50% for about 50% of migraineurs. Must try for at least 3 months to know its effectiveness. (See earlier dietary section for more information.) This natural supplement is available at Whole Foods (< $10 per month). Most other pharmacies carry a 250 mg dosage and this dose might need to be taken twice daily at different times of day. Reduce dose if diarrhea occurs. I agree OP, i think magnesium is a cure. In the above article it says it reduces symptoms 50% in 50% of people but that just sounds like shit being thrown at a wall. I had a friend tell me of this little know cure some years ago and mine have completely stopped. If you have migraines, try this. It truly is a miracle. |
