Delanor.

That's what I remember too, op.

I'm not sure why people who think it was Delano are getting so angry, it's really nothing to get so hostile about. They seem to be working themselves up into a frenzy.

Same hear, OP. Everyone used to refer to him using all 3names or just FDR. It was Delanor. As for the people? Who are posting the offensive diatribes, it really makes no sense someone would waste their time doing that. Have you considered they might be bots programmed by the AI machines to respond to internet communication about the "effect?"

That would make sense. The bots attack certain phrases with the hope this will encourage the occasional real person to join in and shut down any meaningful discussion.

I remember it as Delano.

Delano sounds like an African American name. I don't remember it either, however I do remember that his wife's name was Eleanor.

In my lime time Delano is where the Amish Market is and Delanor was a Presidents middle name.

some of you might recall that franklin delanor roosevelt's middle name changed to delano in a recent mandela effect.

However, in hillary clinton's acceptance speech (~36:40-36:47)
she says delanor
so...

what do you think about that glp?

Do you remember delano too?
I didn't come from a delano timeline.
In my history class, we learned about a man named Franklin Delanor Roosevelt.
Apparently Mrs. Clinton came from my timeline.
For better or worse.
 Quoting: K-lis 'R'ka

Simple explanation. Your teacher spoke with a Boston accent and you didn't bother reading the textbook where you would have seen how it was really spelled versus how the teacher pronounced it. You really should have studied your textbook.

Re: delanor roosevelt mandela effect
Here's what's happening:

People remember "Delanor" because when the name is pronounced you hear the "R" sound for Roosevelt immediately following the "O" sound in Delano....so the R from Roosevelt blends onto the ending of Delano causing people to assume it's Delanor if they've never seen it spelled out in print. A false memory is created by the assumption of how they think what they hear is spelled.

Problem solved.

It's ALWAYS been Delano. I'm not denying there have been some Mandela effect posts here that I do strongly agree with. But this isn't one of them - you're just thinking it's "Delanor" because his wife's name was Eleanor and it's getting muddled in your brain. I clearly remember from school that his name was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Delano was a family name (it was his mother's maiden name).

Did a speech back in gradeschool. Almost 25 years ago. Delano not Delanor. Eleanor Roosevelt, the wife of FDR, was the longest-serving First Lady of the United States.

That's the problem with this mandela effect.
You can find both, but if it Never was Delanor, then there should not be any reverence to be found of Delanor, but there is.
Sorry instead of turning it into a yes or no thing I really wish IK would understand what is going on here.
