I am a direct decedent of William the Conqueror on my Fathers side... (and more importantly (to me), that same lineage (one of the "13 bloodlines") came here on the Mayflower- and includes Paul Revere and some other interesting folks)

My descendants were very well rewarded for their services , such a shame about the way they treat the wounded and dying ex-services in modern times ,making our heroes beg for food and shelter ..In days gone by they would of been assured food and home for their time served ..

My descendents are from the Dijonnais region , we have a Coat of Arms and a family crest ..During the Crusades our ancestors were recognised and handsomely rewarded with land ,money and property ie Manor ..

I know there are definately some descendents of the Crusades here , speak up now or for ever hold your peace ....

HONESTLY why go around bragging that you can? Isis wants to behead us all for our ANCESTORS role in the crusades... with that being said i can trace mine back to the 12th century with a knight who was at the battle of Falkirk when sir Willaim Wallace was captured by the English. I HAVE NO DIRECT KNOWLEDGE that this knight was ever involved in the crusades campaigns itself which happened in roughly the same time frame from the 10th centuries through the late 13th century. though i should expect that since he was a knight that he did indeed see some crusades action.

No it's an interest of mine I have spent many years tracing mine back ..The info I wanted because it aint only my family tree im interested in , its how many connections can be made ..How many of OUR ancestors actually may have known each other thru' this period of time .. I can't help my interests it may appear stupid but I have had this history bug for years and years ..
