The calendar lore of the maya, the archeologists had to understand the hieroglyphs for their chronological order of time to reconstruct history. The story of creation has been told and re-told various times in various ways. According to one story, Lilith was the first woman to be Adam’s wife, but Adam wanted to be dominant over her, and she refused. Adam and Lilith didn’t pro-create, and so God created another being out of Adam’s rib, Eve, whom became the “Mother of all Life”. Lilith then, in rage, vowed to kill every firstborn child of Eve, a promise that it is said she made good on by killing Abel by the hands of Cain. Thus the Archetype of the temptress, the evil woman who seduces men into evil acts was formed in this tale.

The Origin of the World paints a different picture, however. In this story, there is no Lilith, but Eve is the body for Sophia Zoe, and Sophia Zoe is the daughter of Pistis Sophia. Pistis Sophia means “Faith Wisdom” and represents the most lofty emanation of Wisdom here, and Sophia Zoe means “Life Wisdom” the more involved aspect of the Divine Feminine. Eve then, in this tale is a body for “Life Wisdom”. When we contemplate these two tales together, we might have some insight into Lilith within conscoiusness...

So Sophia Zoe left the body of Eve, and went into the Tree of Good and Evil, taking the form of the serpent. The serpent, which was called “the instructor” informed Eve of the truth of the situation, and so Eve ate of this Tree, taking back into herself this Life Wisdom, and imparted this Life Wisdom to Adam, which was her original intention.

What is interesting to note is that in traditional Kabbalah, the Serpent who is speaking to Eve in many tales is said to be Lilith "riding" the serpent. We cannot fail to see the similarity and contemplate this connection.
