The last time she was a registered member, her handle was "Chikin". She had another handle before this, but I honestly do not remember it. About 3 years ago, after having trouble with her account, she started posting as an AC. Quoting: tiger1 Her real first name was Cheryl, and she was friend of mine for years, here in my area. She is the one who told me about GLP many years ago. I lurked around for a while, and then became a registered member of GLP 6 years ago. The fact she told me about this site, is something I am ever grateful for. Cheryl was 53, and had been fighting cancer for the past several years. She tried everything available out there, from natural remedies, to traditional remedies, to faith healers. She wanted to be around to see her kids grow up, and she did. Cheryl fought the good fight, and was one tough chic. Another sister lost to cancer.my condolences hun. Ive been battling colon cancer since 2012 they keep tellin me at every physicalta get one of those colonoscopy things but never seemta get arond to it. |

Cheryl had breast cancer, that was discovered to be advanced stage when they did the surgery. Her insurance and the hospital gave her a terrible time. When she went in for surgery, she thought she was having a lumpectomy, or at the most, a simple mastectomy. It turned out to be a radical mastectomy. They took some muscles on her chest, and took everything out under her arm, and then sent her home a few hours later with Tylenol 3's. Her pain was unbearable.Her insurance refused to pay for her to stay in the hospital. Her husband took her back to the hospital after she got home, and they ended up keeping her overnight. She had chemo, she had radiation, she tried trial treatments, she did naturals, she did faith healers, she did everything you could think of doing. She really fought with all of her might. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

She was so young, but obviously very brave in the face of life's difficulties. I've been fighting colon cancer for nine and a half years and am in the end stages myself. I didn't know her, but hearing about her gives me great respect for her as a fighter. Still, 53 is so young. Well, she is at peace now. I'm glad she saw her children grow up. They are happy happy happy and wouldn't return if they had a choice. They completed their course on Earth and have returned home. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you.
