Took cash off the sidelines. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72454631 No you did not I did because I believe in the USA and her companies and in free market capitalism and I see the brexit as an endorsement of good old fashioned capitalism. What companies? Free market capitalism??? You obviously are just talking shit. If you're serious, which I don't believe, you are going to lose big time. You'd be better off investing in metals. |

If you have 10mil in equities and lose 7%, calculate that for me and let me know if you'd be pissed off and fearful of the unknown? in general, concerning other downfalls...it's nothing...wake me if it's going +20% now THAT's doom "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play." - 'Wargames' "This world is more like a mystery, trapped in a conundrum, spun by a paradox." - AC1118155 |

Name just 1 Look at the sectors that are down, some really excellent stocks are down quite a lot, in my mind, since I've been wanting to buy those stocks and it's on sale in my book then that's a spot for a buying opportunity. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5685190 I invest for the longterm. If I want to play around I short or buy puts and calls. You can be smart and long at the same time... No need "to play around". Watch the market and reallocate your funds accordingly. Anyone that has an employer matched 401K and chooses not to contribute blows my mind... You're instantly gaining 100% on your investment, lol! BUT the people that contribute and don't watch their money are just as mind blowing... i.e. One of the funds in my 401K was going to take a hit today (according to last night's futures), so I reallocated it to a money market account. |
