An Oregon judge decided this month that a person can legally identify as neither sex, but the Oregon DMV will need months — maybe years — before it can issue a driver's license with a nonbinary sex designation, according to a spokesman.

The Multnomah County Circuit Court ruling "blindsided" the DMV, said spokesman David House. "We have a process for going from male to female or female to male. We’ve never had anything else before," House said.

State law allows a court to legally change a person's sex if they've undergone sexual reassignment surgery, hormonal treatments or other transition treatments. But state law doesn't limit gender designation to male or female.

Shupe expected it would take time to get a driver's license that lists as nonbinary. "If that’s what it takes, then that’s what it takes," Shupe told the Statesman Journal in an interview. "We’ve got to start somewhere."

Taco today, burrito tomorrow, hey...why not? What I wonder....what are the legal implications regarding what to call the DNA? At some point, a "gender neutral" person will commit a crime, how will the DNA be referred? Will they be "politically correct" about it or not?

Not according to Oregon state...now it's a whole different thing, legally that is.

That's actually a good point, I remember tabloid newspapers like The Weekly World News would occasionally run stories somewhat like these...it was fiction, made up, and meant to really poke fun and shock people. Now it is all real and actually applauded.

You literally couldn't figure out what it was. You'd be thinking one way and then a gesture or voice inflection made you change your mind, and then you'd change your mind again. I never felt more sorry for someone and I am not liberal. I wonder if you could find that clip on you tube.

That is different, they truly were born as "both"...that's not of their own doing and I can certainly understand feeling sympathy. However, it used to be considered that if you were claiming you're something you're not (what if I decided I was the queen of England right now?), you'd need HELP. Not people agreeing that's who you were.
