WND reported Monday night that both Curiel and the San Diego-based law firm leading the class action suit against Trump University, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, are tied to La Raza by their association with the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association.

WND also reported the San Diego firm paid $675,000 to the Clintons for speeches, and the firm’s founder is a wealthy San Diego lawyer who served a two-year sentence in federal prison for his role in a kickback scheme to mobilize plaintiffs for class-action lawsuits.

I am a 100% Trump supporter but I keep asking myself "Couldn't he have pointed out the affiliation and conflict of interest instead of saying "mexican heritage". It doesn't make sense to me really, because the media is jumping all over it and twisting it. The only thing I can think of is if he does this purposefully to get the coverage of the media, only to slowly reveal the truth after it is already too late to not cover it, knowing if he started with the truth, the media would not bite.

If there is any solid basis for recusal, shark like Trump and his lawyers must have filed the motion. There's no lawful proof of bias beside a typical guilt by association smear. What Trump was doing, apparently in contra to his lawyers, was a race baiting incitement to fire up all of you who've hated the Hispanics and put unlawful pressure on a legitimate court system. Trump university was a scam and Trump has loss one counter lawsuit at one of his student who sued him.

The WND article definitely employed covert smear by using the vague word: "TIED TO" to imply guilt by association. What kind of "TIED TO"?

Smear 1: La Raza is a racist group?
Question: Which La Raza? There are plenty, hundreds of organization using La Raza as part of it's name. Also if you accuse it of racist, what's the proof? Have the so called La Raza group sucked any White(race) blood or called for elimination of White or any race? This is plain demonization.

Also do you realize the so called lawfirm has been handling the law suit since 2010. If this issue interfere with the fairness of the trial, Trump should've raised the issue in 2010, not now.

Smear 3: The judge is a member of HNBA who called for boycott of Trump's businesses

First of all, like boycotting Target, boycott is a proper first amendment reaction to a character assasination by being characterized as rapists and killers by Trump.

Secondly, Kimberly Guilfoyle, an American hispanics, co-hosts of The Five on Fox News, also belongs to that same lawyer Association. But she's pro Trump, which means, the organization can boycott Trump, but the individual member is free to have their own opinion. Judge Curiel has never called for any boycott of Trump's business.

Also as noted above, judge Curiel has been HNBA member since 2010 when Trump University lawsuit started and the judge was assigned to the case. How the hell would the judge anticipated that in the future, Trump would be a foul mouth presidential candidate who demonize the Hispanic immigrants and get a reaction from Hispanics including the HNBA? If Trump's team doubt the fairness of the judge for being a member of HNBA, they should've complained in 2010, not now when Trump realize his fraud case might interfere with his candidacy.
