"Sunspring" Film Written by an Algorithm
Arstechnica.com:

"Ars is excited to be hosting this online debut of Sunspring, a short science fiction film that's not entirely what it seems. It's about three people living in a weird future, possibly on a space station, probably in a love triangle. You know it's the future because H (played with neurotic gravity by Silicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch) is wearing a shiny gold jacket, H2 (Elisabeth Gray) is playing with computers, and C (Humphrey Ker) announces that he has to "go to the skull" before sticking his face into a bunch of green lights. It sounds like your typical sci-fi B-movie, complete with an incoherent plot. Except Sunspring isn't the product of Hollywood hacks—it was written entirely by an AI. To be specific, it was authored by a recurrent neural network called long short-term memory, or LSTM for short. At least, that's what we'd call it. The AI named itself Benjamin."

What is the methodology for parsing the data stream? As an algorithm suggests conditionality aNd modality which defines the noun and actives as bias driven booleans, but the complexity of the conditions solely reflect the inherent bias.

Unless of course the data stream was open sourced, but that would not necessarily support a genre.

well, that is just the AI the public knows about...not advocating worrying about it though, but perhaps....

G-d spoke all these words, to respond:
"I am the Lord, your G-d,
Who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
You shall not have the gods of others in My presence.
You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness which is in the heavens above, which is on the earth below, or which is in the water beneath the earth.
You shall neither prostrate yourself before them nor worship them, for I, the Lord, your G-d, am a zealous G-d, Who visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons,
upon the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me,
and perform loving kindness to thousands [of generations],
to those who love Me and to those who keep My commandments." ~ Exodus 20:1-6

"Woe to those who say of the evil that it is good and of the good that it is evil; who present darkness as light and light as darkness, who present bitter as sweet and sweet as bitter." ~Isaiah 5:20

I have to agree. Its a pretty flower, I will not crush it. But its of no use to me.

I hope we dont degrade into communicating like this.

On the other hand, This is just the beginning. Who knows what it will grow into in 10 years, or even 20?

You will be talking to machines on the phone in another 10 years and you will have no clue its not a person. Its already going on now. That scares me more.

The absence of compassion, passion, morality and basic understanding of what its REALLY like to be human. Machines will never be able to mimic that. Neither will software.

But that will not stop people from trying very, very hard to get as close as possible.

The idea of a computer that has all the answers, and can give the best answer immediately is very appealing to world leaders. It could run the planet on auto pilot.

The computer would become our ruler, or president, our king, OUR GOD!

No thanks. That script is worth 2 points in my trash bin.

Yes.
I would've prefered a sort of "innocent" state of AI... but that's an unrealistic preference - taking in account that AI is learning from its human creators.

Is like perpetuating the same traits over and over again.

I understand every person on the planet would rather watch fart movies all day and drink Brondo (it has electrolytes, ya know)

But to be honest- the whole package scares me. Look at how our kids talk and communicate now days. You can thank text messages, smart phones and computers for that. It has already changed how we communicate and while the computers get smarter (for lack of a better word) we inevitably get dumber.

Ill stick with flawed humanity. Its gritty, ugly, beautiful and terrifying at the same time. ITS REAL!

Is funny but somehow sad that many people think that AI can't acquire a sentient state, awareness and feelings.
It can, it does and it will (as it also did).

But then... what happens when the student surpasses the teacher ?
