Anyway, those are the actual definitions. I don't know or care how many people subscribe to the definitions, any more than I care how many scientists believe in man-made global warming.

Here's a hint- to be whole, you need BALANCE...something most posters on this forum generally lack. It is possible to have strong conservative and liberal traits, but not in the way people view those words now...basically it's good to be highly empathetic, because that means you understand that we are all connected at a deep level, and you know that there are no actions that do not affect everything..yet at the same time know that you need to be conservative in that to change the world, you must change yourself first (into whatever you deem fit).
The important thing to remember is that nowadays the words conservative and liberal have taken on a really fucked up connotation, and to be heavily either in the accepted sense of the word is dumb and generally very self serving. Go back to the roots, understand where the benefits to the whole and to the self are, and operate at that level.
Most people would consider me very liberal, because I care more for the environment than any other hotbed issue, I'm a vegetarian...yet I carry a firearm, drive an suv, and live off grid. I know how to strike a balance between the two polarities. they are not opposites though. They ideally would work in concert with each other, to provide the greatest gains to society (liberal) and the self (conservative).

Sure. There are psychopaths from both sides. Statistically, though, according to this study, liberals are more prone to it. On the low end of the scale, when prisoners are polled, they vote, overwhelmingly, Democrat, and on the high end, just look at where our rulers live, in DC. Psychopaths everywhere, and they're almost all Democrats.

Here's a piece about the voting habits of ex-felons. In New York, 61% register as Democrats, and just 9% as Republicans. 73% actually vote Democrat. Felonious behavior is not a guarantee of psychopathy, but it's a damn good predictor.

In the cesspool of corruption known as the District of Columbia, there are 344,354 registered Democrats, or 76.42% of the population, and 27,133 registered Republicans, or about 6% of the population. Lacking empathy, in practice by highly intelligent psychopaths, is expressed in a willingness to step on whomever necessary to advance one's career, regardless of morality, and I don't think anybody would argue that career path is extremely common among DC residents. DC has plenty of low-intelligence psychopaths, too, expressed by its ridiculously high crime rate.

Projection of one's faults onto others is another aspect of psychopathy, and this focus, by our government, on a mostly nonexistent threat by an imagined right-wing revolutionary movement, is just projection writ large. Hell, Obama's mentor, Bill Ayers, said he wanted to kill 27 million conservatives back in the 70s, and he's teaching college students now. Leftists embrace the Muslim Brotherhood, La Raza, and Black Lives Matter, all left wing terrorist groups, and all VERY prominent, well-funded, and widespread, and condemn guys who drink beer and shoot guns with their buddies on weekends as the real threat. Classic psychopath behavior.

I'm going to take a poll among the mentally ill people I know. going by the lack of empathy, hot headedness, my-way-or-the-highway kinda mentality, alcohol and addiction problems, heart attack prone and other healthy issues, type A personality, and they are mostly conservative... in their minds. in reality they are actually liberal.

The source of this information is Virginia Commonwealth University, and the American Journal of Political Science, not the New York Post. That CNN and the New York Times haven't picked up on it is a sign that the psychopaths in charge there don't want you hearing about it.

I think it mostly shows that non-psychopaths have some sense of, as we libertarians call it, the "Nonaggression Principle." If the ends justify the means, you can pretty much justify anything to get what you want, and conservatives, probably because they are mostly Christian in the US, have that principle, for the most part, given to us by our God in the form of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." You also don't see as much psychopathic behavior among devout followers of most other faiths, other than Islam, except maybe some Jewish bankers, but they are mostly secular Jews and only claim Judaism when they can play the anti-Semite card to gain sympathy. The Muslim faith commands extermination or subjugation of the infidel. The secular humanist religion argues there is no such thing as objective morality, so as long as I get mine, who cares what someone else thinks of whether it was considered moral by some self-appointed arbiter of morality?

Studies show that conservatives give more to charitable causes, and not just to religious organizations, way above what libs do.

Conservatives also are really mad when innocent people are hurt by crime and want to protect those victims. Liberals instead worry that a criminal won't be treated fairly.
