The second phase of Mona’s plan was now underway. Sam1 and Dr Dearborn had located a stash of historical material (many weeks before) in the remaining Dyson Spheres. They had been working night and day with the Sisters to finalize their prototypes.

Mona gave the order to return the original FogDemons to the Leviathan. They were crucial to the coming events. Mona hoped and prayed her plan would work. She had no desire to destroy Trillions of sentient beings but was prepared for the worst.

The four Demons were now in the original containment room. They were disoriented but aware of their surroundings. They were not surprised to see Mona and her Confederates once more.

Mona needed to know their identities and personalities for the next phase.

Mona States: “For this part of negotiations we need to know more about each one of you. I thank you, so far, for your efforts to convince your fellow FogDemons to come to reason. I, therefore, have several questions. Each one will be taken to a separate location and interviewed thoroughly. All I expect is honesty. You will not be harmed.”

While the interviews were going on the Spheres began to communicate with each other. This was the kind of cooperation not witnessed in the memories of the FogDemons. They were speculating about the abilities and power of their adversary. The Federation was the most formidable enemy they had ever encountered. They were simply unable to locate or identify the enemy, but knew they were at its mercy.

All they knew was these beings were bipedal, humanoid and sentient, not unlike what the FogDemons were in their very ancient past. This they knew because the four captured Demons had told them of their encounter with Mona and her comrades.

They tried to formulate a defense but didn’t know how Mona was able to do what she did or was now doing. Since the Demons had no real threat to their power (except each other) their war making capabilities and surveillance technology was primitive compared to the Federation.

Harry was in charge of the snooping and he was overjoyed at every word he was intercepting. He would be briefing the Crisis Team on his assessment at the next opportunity. Their plan may well work.

MoonBeam started the Crisis Team Meeting as usual. Her introduction included the status of all the ongoing surveillance and other activities. Harry then briefed on his analysis of the FogDemon’s state of mind. It was his opinion they were ready for the Hidden Galaxy’s next move. He recommended to initiate it as soon as everything was in place.

Dr Dearborn indicated they were not quite ready to go forward and recommend Mona extent the two day deadline to the FogDemons. All agreed and Mona prepared for the broadcast to the entire Sphere community.

The Sphere Command Centers were in a buzz regarding Mona’s announcement. They were not sure what it meant. The Crisis Team in LeviathanV were recording and analyzing their reactions.

Sam1 and Dr Dearborn were frantically working with he Sisters to prepare the captured Demons for their knew role. Mona had presented them with the Hidden Galaxy’s plan for them and they had volunteered for their assignments. This was actually a plan hatched by Harmony. She had come to Mona and convinced her the venture was possible.

All Mona was waiting for was the infusion animation process to culminate. She felt her people were capable of this feat but simply there had been such a short time to prepare.

Mona formulated the ultimate wager! She knew the FogDemons were suckers for any kind of bet. She had dreamed about this and felt her intuition was right on the money. She would broadcast her proposed bet to the Community of Dyson Spheres as she returned the four captured Demons. However, before doing so she went to the containment area to interview the prisoners one last time.

Mona simply asked: “Each of you, please identify yourselves?”

They did not respond immediately because they were using new capabilities which they were barely familiar with.

In all of Mona’s adventures and challenges this was unique. She was attempting to alter an entire species, culture and behavior construct simultaneously. She was attempting to elicit a desired change in them or be forced to destroy them. She wanted this recalcitrant species to voluntarily de-evolve, to return to their primitive physical origins to survive. In a way of speaking, to force them to rediscover their humanity. To start over again. It was a re-birth, a new chance. She knew intuitively it was their only chance. They were so corrupt, so evil, without merit or compassion. Draconian measures were required and was their only hope.

Mona broadcasts to all Dyson Spheres: “FogDemons are incapable of change. I bet you cannot change. You are too week and ignorant. If you change, we will release you. If you do not, we destroy you. It is as much a challenge as a wager.

The wager is on. It begins this very moment. I personally hope you refuse to change. Most of my fellows from the Hidden Galaxy and Federation are betting you won’t. Because if you try we will be obligated to assist you. You are not worth the energy or our effort.

Your four repatriated Demon Leaders are now in your ancient bipedal biological form, they have accepted the bet. We reconstructed them from a store of DNA you had hidden away for billions of years. They are still clumsy and weak but are what you must return too to win your wager.

We give you one of your years to accomplish this transformation. We will be watching. At anytime you attempt to run you will be destroyed. What say you? Will you accept the challenge?

You will return to your ancient ways. You will renew your practices of family and respect for your elders. You will work for the betterment of each other and of other sentient being that you might encounter. You will feed only on lower non sentient biological life forms, preferably flora not fauna. You will not destroy heavenly bodies for food or sport. You again will be biological beings. You will again experience the joy and pain of that existence, or cease to exist. Choose life or experience death.

It is your choice.”

The reaction in the Dyson Spheres was as expected. It was pandemonium. The cross talk and chatter was cataclysmic. It was like a free-for-all. These beings had never had to think about an exterior threat in their entire history. They only fought between themselves. The attention of the population at large, soon turned to the four converted Demons returned by Mona. They became the center of attention. Since they were from the Ruling Class (despite the fact they had lost a wager battle) their opinions were considered.

The four became immediate celebrities. Everything they did was observed and broadcasted across all Dyson Spheres. They were asked their opinions and how they experienced everything. The Federation had supplied these reborn with the necessities required for humanoid biological beings. By fate the four turned out to be two males and two females.

However preoccupied with the four humanoids the FogDemons were on Dyson Sphere six, all was not well within the remaining seven spheres.

Mona was getting worried. She knew she was going to be challenged with an enormous moral dilemma. It was possible her gamble was not going to pay off completely. She felt some, if not most, Spheres were going to make a break for freedom.

What does she do? Her first inclination was to spare the life forms because this was the basis of her code of conduct; however, these creatures were the antithesis of everything she had risked her life for, for eons.

The FogDemons are like the Scavengers versus the Chupacabras in her history of meeting and dealing with new species. With both she allowed them to use “Free Will” and choose their own path. One adopted a purpose and chose life and one chose to keep their old destructive ways and experienced extinction. She needed to do likewise with the Demons.

So Mona set a trigger for automatic simultaneous detonation of all warheads if a Sphere was to flee beyond one lightyear from their present location without engaging a disarming code, which she did NOT give them. She will now tell them all the details and their options. What will they do?

The Hidden Galaxy; Volume II of
The life and death of Mona Ann Lisa on the Moon, 32,000 years in the making by George B. (All rights reserved published work (c) 2016 George B.)

Because of Mona’s misgivings she concentrated on only one Sphere (Sphere VI) where she returned all the now ambulatory FogDemons,. She also, planned to go herself along with a team of volunteers. She wanted to recruit Demons willing to reanimate. This created a technical and practical dilemma.

The Hidden Galaxy personnel were compressed and could only decompress for short periods of time and with an enormous expenditure of energy. The captured FogDemons had not been a problem because of their gaseous ethereal status, they just had the space between their molecules reduced not the spacing within their atomic structure when captured. Until they were reanimated that is . . . at which time they were created standard size, in a special full sized BioSphere outside LeviathanV and outside the influence of the Hidden Galaxy.

From these new recruits, Dr. Dearborn and Sam1 would create a Reanimation Corps. This group would be given the intense training and equipment to reanimate FogDemons on SphereVI itself. The equipment being so tiny it could easily be carried within a hand held device carried by the Reanimation Corps. This device was built by them in the normal sized biosphere, while the technology within would forever remain compressed.

The Cloning operations had to be Standard Size, this is where the Corps was most important and critical. They had to do all the real work to prepare suitable bodies for occupancy. Dearborn and Sam1 were no longer able to continue their uncompressed presence in the BioSphere.

Mona and the Crisis Team felt the sooner the Demons started their own transformation the better.

Harry alerted Mona. There appeared to be several Spheres talking about their absolute superiority and that no power had ever restricted their freedom to act no matter what they decided to do. Mona did not try to intervene. She refused to act.

Sometimes people are held accountable exercising their Free Will. It is a blessing and a curse. Free Will weaponized with arrogance can have devastating and predictable outcomes. But unless one allows freedom of action, no matter how stupid, it is not Free Will.

The Hidden Galaxy; Volume II of
The life and death of Mona Ann Lisa on the Moon, 32,000 years in the making by George B. (All rights reserved published work (c) 2016 George B.)

One Sphere breaks for freedom! With all but Sphere VI following. The lead Sphere (Number III) reaches the distance boundary First. The warheads detonate as expected.

However, unfortunately for the remaining spheres it did not rupture. It was internally devastated but not obliterated. The remaining Spheres encouraged by the superficial success of the first Sphere proceeded unabated. Their fates were not as kind. Within a wink of the eye they were emptied into the vacuum of deep space. Trillions of FogDemons died instantaneously in a few short seconds.

Mona though upset accepted the tragic outcome well. It was time to face a new reality.

All Mona could think about was getting the remaining FogDemons to embrace their only hope for survival. The others chose their path which was a one way ticket to death.

She was not however going to invest unlimited time and resources to the remnant FogDemons. She was still dealing with issues within the Hidden Galaxy which were now more important, not to mention she was still hoping she could find what had happened to the Greater Galactic Federation and her and Harry’s naturally born children. Maybe they had grandchildren by now.

The first Sphere to run and experienced the first massive explosions eventually also (like all but one of its companions) finally collapsed and all were lost into deep space.

It appeared the Hidden Galaxy was now safe again. They had lost approximately 20 million inhabitants when the Demons engulfed one of the planets near their external boundaries. However, the FogDemons suffered a much greater loss by loosing all but one of their Dyson Spheres and untold trillions of their total population.

The first Sphere to run and experienced the first massive explosions eventually (also, like all but one of its companions) collapsed and all were lost into deep space. FogDemons would not likely go extinct but they will forever be changed. The Hidden Galaxy still held the detonation codes and ultimate control over the remaining Dyson Sphere..

Her intuition and visions were blank regarding all these issues.

It had now been over 200 years since the confrontation between the Hidden Galaxy and the FogDemons. Mona was thinking back over her long history and what had been discovered and learned. The amazing thing was not what had been discovered but what was still unknown.

The Demons had all been reanimated, at least the ones that wanted too. The holdouts were very few, less than .005 percent. These refusing were still a considerable number but presently represented no threat. However, somehow Mona knew these rebels would pose a real problem in the future. Her intuition was one of her most reliable characteristics. Never-the-less, based on the universal rule of “Free Will” their right to choose was guaranteed.

Jim Jimmerson would whole heartedly agree. Jim and his twin from the parallel universe were gone. His daughter was presently the head of the Hidden Galaxy Ruling Council. Mona and Harry were still involved with the Space Guild and Training of new pilots. She and Harry were lately thinking about retiring.

She had outlived her parents by at least 800 years . . . she and Harry were in excellent health but no one knew how long they might live. Things had been peaceful and routine for at least 150 years.

Harmony’s plan for the Demons was a resounding success. While successful there, there was no progress in finding the Greater Galactic Federation or what had happened to their friends and family. Mona was beginning to believe there was never going to be resolution. Her intuition and visions were blank regarding all these issues. It was like she was being denied.
