When I woke up after my binge I was in a abandoned cabin in the woods 20 miles form where I lived . I had shoes on but other wise butt naked , I found a old coat and walked home only to find every piece of furniture I owned in the back yard . The house was completely empty ! My neighbor told me he watched me move it all out 3 days prior and I told him that elves who lived in the walls wanted it all out so they could clean . Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59088707 Still have no idea where my clothes went or how I ended up in that cabin. I wondered how my cabin got ransacked. Hey, why dint you use the toilet instead of the sink? |

My longest day with only the tiniest naps was 72 hours and I have routinely done 2-3 24 hour days a week. I would say that the weirdness starts at around the 24 hour mark but it's easy to get used to. Quoting: YanceyDoodleDandy All I see is how bad it is but, having learned a couple or so things about this life, there are two sides to a coin. Hmmmm...I think I'll try to find the answer from a few sources and post any interesting findings here. My work record is 40 hours straight, only smoke breaks and food breaks. I pulled a few 30-36 hour shifts a decade ago or so as well. Secret, love what you do. :P |

I would saw this benefit/ experience was worth the risk! No naps at all. Adderall + magnesium (to increase absorption of adderall 4-5x!). Please be careful. Science is your friend |

Quoting: Osmium76 More often than not, your body and mind will shut down before that occurs so as to regains the ability to recover and continued reoccurring deprivation can effect your health negatively. We have to give our mind/brain a rest. I mean, we have to rest our body or we could die of exhaustion if we kept on and on without even sitting down for a moment. That is what it is like without sleep. We keep our mind marching and marching on without a rest and go crazy and eventually will die. Sleep is so important. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1550123 United States 05/09/2016 09:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a study that came to the conclusion that if one keeps even healthy volunteers up long enough, they will develop symptoms of Fibromyalgia. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70676832 Some of them develop Fibromyalgia symptoms in as little as one night of sleep deprivation. The body can't relax properly so everything starts to hurt. Some people don't even relax when they sleep so they still hurt. Finding out where stress is coming from and dealing with that will help a lot. |

I just didn't feel tired after a certain point its like my body reset to the new normal. Stay hydrated. Your body loses 3x more water when its under stress. I attribute my success to that. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70321915 United States 05/09/2016 12:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 72 hours into, I felt a large suction noise and my body being lifted up, like a rapture. Suddenly I found myself on a dirt road and near some buildings, people were running. Women had babies strapped to their backs. I tried to figure out what they were running from and was going to take off but where? People were dying. I panicked and didnt know if I wanted to flee left or right. The suction noise came back and I was lifted up again and restored to my hallway, back at home A few days later the event I saw made worldwide news and I even identified the exact location I was at. I identified the buildings and the streets. Somehow, someway I was there across the ocean, across the continents. If only for a few seconds. |

Stories of talking to people who aren't there, dreams merging into reality, and pink elephants. [link to bigthink.com] When you click the above link, there is also a video "This is Your Brain on No Sleep" I once stayed up for 3 days writing a econ research paper. At the end, the walls started to melt and my brain started to drift of onto really odd tangents. Then I think I started having afib due to too much dexedrine, nicotine and coffee... I thought I wouldn't wake up ever again. Last time I did that. Now can you imagine what meth heads go through?! |
