THE GEOLOGIC SETTING Three geologic plates intersect along the North Coast at the Mendocino triple junction. Black arrows show the relative motion at plate boundaries. The San Andreas fault is the boundary between the Pacific and North American plates; the Mendocino fault separates the Gorda and Pacific plates. The Cascadia subduction zone is the boundary between the Gorda and Juan de Fuca plates offshore and the North American plate. The white triangles show the locations of active volcanoes, common along subduction zones.



A vertical slice along the southern part of the Gorda plate where it is being subducted beneath the North American plate. The megathrust is the locked boundary between them.

The San Andreas Fault
South of the triple junction, the Pacific plate moves northwest relative to the North American plate. Most of this motion takes place along the San Andreas fault system. The great 1906 San Francisco earthquake ruptured more than 200 miles of the fault from south of Santa Cruz to at least Point Arena and perhaps as far north as Shelter Cove. Southern Humboldt County and the Humboldt Bay area experienced as much or more damage from this earthquake as any other historic tremor. The average interval between 1906 type earthquakes is on the order of several hundred years.


The Cascadia Subduction Zone
North of the triple junction, the Gorda plate and its northern extension, the Juan de Fuca plate, move eastward on a collision course with the North American plate. The Gorda plate slowly descends beneath the North American plate along the Cascadia subduction zone. Most scientists believe that the upper 50 or so miles of the contact between the Gorda and North American plates is locked. This boundary is called the megathrust.

If an EQ occurs in Northern Central CA (inland) it would likely come from the Mt Shasta area.

While we were talking, suddenly Earthquake Mary started having spiking symptoms :

7:05 I have shakes vibrating my WHOLE BODY.
This is the earth!

7:08 Here it comes again. My WHOLE BODY is vibrating
These are intervals !
I have NEVER done this before.

7:09 Here it comes again. This is NOT volcanic .
My WHOLE BODY is vibrating.
THIS EARTHQUAKE IS GOING TO BE VIOLENT !

7:11 here we go again. My WHOLE BODY is vibrating.

then started again. This is awfully weird.

my RIGHT HAND. The energy is like a springing
sensation. My right hand is vibrating.

of my whole body is vibrating.

I have been seeing EQM's posts for a year and I have never, repeat never seen her in so much pain. She is the most sensitive of the lot and with an excellent track record. She has been sick for days, and certain that California is soon going to get rocked HARD.

If you're anywhere near the SAF, go at least a 100 miles east. At this point it's impossible to tell whether the epicenter will be in NorCal or SoCal. Whatever it is will be big enough to shake all of Cal.

Sometimes when I look at a map it is normal and other times it seems to move. Today it has a wave affect like at am seeing it in 3D with motion. From San Fernando down thru Long beach and over to Pomona and even in to Riverside, Cajon Pass. and Pasadena, it is all looking like waves moving across the screen. The fault , Palos Verde's, Newport-Inglewood-Rose canyon fault Zone, Palos Verde's Hills Coronado bank fault zone I also saw, real real clear, a big red box, possibly a 6 size or above. The screen seems to move so much I cannot pin-point an exact spot. I hate this when this happens cause I cannot focus clearly on the map, it keeps moving, like the earth is moving but it isn't at this time in reality. It is almost like seeing the earth moving in strong waves across the screen.

This has been going on since last night around 11 PM and thru today. This is an observation of what I am seeing. For more clarity the top of the red box of M6 is just below the word Los Angeles and vibrating. I keep seeing the words Palos Verde's Hills, Coronado fault Zone and Newport-Inglewood-Rose canyon fault Zone.

From my previous experience when I see red boxes and wavy lines on a map I get very dizzy, light-headed and chills. When this occurs this usually happens in real time within one to three days. However I am saying that this might possibly occur within the next ten days. This might possibly occur between 10 to 12 am or Pm?

tried to get the map to post, but it will not show up.

12/18/06 at 10:30 am pst I heard a solid high pitched tone in my left ear this lasted 30 to 60 seconds. Than immediately was gone. My left ear was facing east I am facing Southwest

10:34 am pst instant pain sharp ice pick = MAJOR SPIKING eye is watering pain was so intense
pain solely centered at right temple only

10:39 pst am severe bad chills on right side of body= southwest

10:40 am pst. magnets on fridge have moved to the right = southwest


Modify-- 10-59 am my cactus magnet just fell off the fridge.

Modify--- for direction I am at the Placer County/Sacramento Line California

Everyday, it comes closer.

From Tehachapi to Bakersfield on Hwy 58 the fault here can go at anytime starting from right now. It's the same area Frank Condon is worried about and has been talking about and has been picking up on his instruments.

On my way home from Arizona I stopped in Tehachapi overnight last night and left this morning headed thru Bakersfield on my way home to Sacramento. All the way home I have had severe spiking S/W spiking in my RIGHT FOOT.

From TEHACHAPI to BAKERSFIELD on Hwy 58 the energy was so heavy it literally knocked me out:
put me to sleep, the energy there on Hwy 58 is really really bad, it is extremely heavy. This area could have a MAJOR one there at ANY TIME the area is so bad. THIS FAULT CAN GO AT ANY TIME STARTING RIGHT NOW - IT IS THAT BAD !!!

This is exactly the place where Frank Condon is worried about going to have a major one there. THIS IS NOT FAR OFF FROM OCCURING !!! Frank Condon has every right to be worried . They had better listen to Frank Condon, the energy on the faults there are getting ready to move, and
this could literally happen at any minute !!! Again, it literally knocked me out and i slept the whole way between Tehachapi thru Bakersfield on Hwy 58. I was ok after leaving Bakersfield. Blue Feather please post this immediately and call Shandell and ask her to post it on SyzygyJob for me please so that Frank Condon can know about

I am going out on a limb with this one, but, it does appear that the recent swarm of quakes on the Hayward fault zone is relatively close to the surface. I am going to say that it is possible for a Tsunami and here is the worse case scenerio for such an event: Seattle and all points between Seattle and San Francisco will be effected--thus, it will be virtually impossible for a wide scale evacuation from the time the Tsunami starts to the time it arrives--thus, we would see something FAR worse than Katrina. With what I am feeling with my headaches, I am afraid that the quake is going to be close to the surface and further, if it is on the upper end of what I have predicted, WATCH OUT so I am urging all those from Southern CALI to Seattle to get more like 2 weeks worth of food...REMEMBER THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS TEACH 1 YEAR FOOD STORAGE! I am looking at this and seeing that IF we have such a situation, all agencies will end up backed up for weeks after trying to get to all affected. We will have the worst disaster in American history if what I am saying really does happen:-(.

I just got off the phone with Jim Berkland. He is out of town for the Holidays but had this to say about the recent quakes in Berkeley.

At this time he said the quake swarm is unusual on the Hayward fault. It's more common to see swarms on the Calaveras Fault. He said based on the information we have past along to him he would say there's a 30% chance for a larger quake within a week[again I caught him in the middle of a family gathering so he wasn't able to go into further details at this time.]

Afterward I spoke to David at the Old Faithful Geyser in Calistoga [CA]. He said the geyser has been acting erratically for the last two weeks - with eruption intervals between 15 minutes to an hour. I called Jim with this information and he felt it was significant. He said the longest interval between eruptions was 40 minutes back in 1992 when the M7.2 occurred earthquake struck about 30 miles (50 km) south-southwest of Eureka. Jim added [the Calistoga] Old Faithful Geyser "doesn't see past Santa Barbara" and that it does see "over to Mammoth Lakes and up to the Oregon boarder." Note: It also reacted to the 1989 "World Series" quake.

It just hit as Berkland said it would this year. But a 6.0 is due. Eight more days left. I remember on the George Putnam show and another TV show we were on in Palmdale, I said SoCA would indeed get a hit but I felt it would be in the Mojave desert, and Riverside/Palm Springs would be affected. Exciting times. Very possible.

Again, look at the dates of these postings. Earthquake Mary was having oh so much pain-in December of 2006. So, we're expected to believe that this freaky woman experiences tormenting pain 5 months before a big eq? And you tell me-was there a 'big earthquake this summer", as the post of JULY 2006?????


These people are like EAT. Eventually, if they keep saying "oh the big one could be very soon"-they'll be right.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over this.
