Do the means justify the ends? If I had to do it to ensure the survival of the whole species I would take over the world. If I could take it , perhaps I'd take it in trust. What is a species if not an extended family? Yet it seems the delimma of our time is saving the world from our species. I think that question is more difficult.

If so, they really should go back to packman it is mentally healthier, it really is. Yes, there be odd folks looking for ideas, and yes some of them are different than is healthy.

I seem to remember them starting the virtual reality games, or something like it. They did the characters and took it a little to far for a healthy mind.

They get caught up in thing they do not know how to stop. Just my observation. Really not healthy.

Im not sure I agree with your thought.. I don't think we are saving anything from ourselves more than it is a race to find ourselves.

it's obvious there are external factors otherwise we wouldn't have the microchip or night vision, but the question I find most difficult to answer is if humanity is capable of assimilating external stimuli without losing the delicate balance we had.

I buy into the philosophy that the best of humanity comes out in times of crisis.. we will make it, I have faith that when the time comes, the human mind will solve the unsolvable.

What if somewhere on the internet there is a place where highly computer-savvy people you don't know are playing games that feature aspects of your identity based on data gathered from your computer?

What if this was sort of like an 'alternate reality sport' to them, and you went your entire life without ever realizing there was a group of people occasionally monitoring your cameras and livejournal, and then creating code-named characters based on your personality?

What if they were so nerdy and so good with computers that they entered this information into an ai system which looks and acts like you but exists only on the computer, ergo somewhere out there there is a creepy slave ai doll that looks like an anime version of you which off-duty nsa hackers fap too but with plausible deniability?

What if the people who play this weird game met on some dark corner of the internet and the things that they said to each other were simply unintelligible to anybody not involved because the words they use to describe their activities inevitably mean more than just one thing?

What would you do?

Money is involved right? Could it just be for money? I don't know...why use people like that...oh man I wish Muse was here she knows all about this stuff...

You might be tempted to settle certain matters by radical means. The visionary part of you means you're painfully aware of the world's wrongs. You see no reason not to take action to correct them. But the forces in play are so powerful that you can't expect to institute a new order in one day.
