Quoting: JimBomB A movie also. After the movie, be sure to read The Journey of Socrates. I have my students watch the movie and read the book. They all say the book changed them. |

Quoting: CitizenAdams Money Shot is his best work since A Perfect Circle Yeah I wasn't big on dub-step stuff either, though he had a few good songs in there like Mama Sed, the last two albums have been significantly better. He's got a great voice, he doesn't need to cover that up electronically... Gravity is absolute gold. Moneyshot was brilliance, albeit short. The drums are rolling for a surprise release of the new tool album this fall. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Many things we've waited forever for are coming this year, some good some not so much lol. But in case you skimmed past my post earlier, I was fortunate enough to first hear grand canyon atop the grand canyon last fall like a week before the album release since it was on YouTube and when I searched grand canyon, to my pleasant surprise it was a puscifer song. On the electronic side, v is for vagina is a wonderful album with vagina mine and mama said. For their grungy, trippy rock, gravity, Thomas, brena, the noose... and then there's tool hahahaha Uggghhhh so good. You may or may not like them, and it's OK if ya don't, but coheed and Cambria are also very wonderfully musically talented. He's a very peculiar voice though. :memorybanner: |

You may or may not like them, and it's OK if ya don't, but coheed and Cambria are also very wonderfully musically talented. He's a very peculiar voice though. I've been a Maynard fan every since TOOL of course, but even more so after I met him in Vegas he was at a vineyard convention and there was this one booth everyone seemed to be gravitating too, suddenly it emptied out and he was just sitting there by himself so I went over and struck up a conversation. He's an odd guy to talk too, he has a great sense of humor but he rarely smiles or shows what is serious and what is jest. He's really into organic agriculture, and wine making of course, and I was surprised to find he enjoyed fishing and hunting, though I don't think he's an avid hunter he was pretty excited about a Mule deer he hunted in Arizona a few years back before a hip surgery, and a salmon fishing trip in Alaska I think after the hip surgery. I told him he should come out to New Mexico and get an Elk some time, he was curious about it, I was going to give him my card and he just said he'd lose it, he asked for my phone number instead, I gave it to him, then I said you'll never be able to remember that and he told it right back to me correctly then he punched it into his phone. Have no idea if I'll ever hear from him about a hunt but I hope I do. It would be really cool, we've had a few celebrities out before like Aaron Lewis and Mac Davis. I have a feeling it would be really cool to just talk to MJK at a campfire... They are almost as good as Pappadeuxs! Don't get into any trouble because it would take me 2 hours to get there to bail you out buddy! Quoting: Daddysgirl Oh my god! Pappadeaux in arlington is still probably my favorite restaurant i have ever eaten at! Suprised to see someone mention that here! Have you had their lobster rolls? Might be the best appetizer I've ever had! |

Where have I been? Quoting: Sloane Yeah it's pretty much just Maynard James Keenan and whoever he brings in musically. He's got a tremendous variance in his style, so just because one album is not your cup of tea doesn't mean the next one might not be... Great concert BTW...
