Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48379957 If Cruz does steel the delegates there will be a major uproar! Hmmmhh... you know I did remember seeing something about "From drudge to NYT (Media) may be banned from pre election night" .. or something along those lines Headline up on drudge right now... |

I believe he needs 50% of each district correct? Then he'd win all of the delegates? What happens if he drops below 50% in a district? Will he only lose a delegate in that district? Or does this open up a proportional take on the rest based purely on percentages then? I'm still learning your election processes there so it's a bit confusing still. |

In all, 95 Republican delegates and 291 Democratic delegates are up for grabs. On the GOP side, each of the state’s 27 congressional districts have three delegates to award. If a candidate wins 50 percent of the vote in a district, he gets all three. If the winning candidate doesn’t hit 50 percent, he will get two delegates and the second-place finisher will get one, provided he gets at least 20 percent of the vote. The remaining 14 GOP delegates go to the statewide winner — if the candidate wins at least 50 percent of the vote. Otherwise, they’re distributed proportionally to all candidates who get at least 20 percent of the vote. |
