Unplug the cable and you won't have to deal with a drained battery very much. If you really want to switch it over, get the pickup wiring diagram and delete the battery from the circuit. The pickups may need the active boost to work correctly so YMMV |

At least that was the case with my EMG laden RR-1. Yes, the real one. Not the knock of they sell today. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68186298 It never ceases to amaze me that the stupid people that found GLP have no comprehension of the IQ and skill levels of other GLPers, AND are happy to help. Just because YOU are clueless doesn't mean that we all are. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

I run my bass through a pre-amp which is basically the same thing but it's a box instead of being built into the guitar.. |

It does sound really good. My mis hap was changing the battery and I broke the connector. Luckily, I ripped it out of the alarm clock (battery back up), works great. As for asking GLP, there's some really good, informed and nice musicians on the forum. I got my answers quickly, alternative options and suggestions of going the extra mile. I appreciate each and everyone's input and advice. It answers the fact I have to replace the alarm clock if I want a back up for power outage. Damn I liked that clock too. Bass or clock, I gotta go with the bass. Thanks again, you all are the best. |
