The Curious Case of Ted Cruz and Jose Medellin

I like the Idea of Ted Cruz for SCOTUS . I previously sent Ted Money when He was Senator . I am not backing him now and I am disgusted by the Fraud Glen Beck and others creating such a stalemate between everyone . Sometimes it seems like Glen has been operating as a saboteur with his side show bob antics . We may disagree on candidates Saddle Tramp but I know we are both disgusted watching this happen to our country .

I know, Trump just kills him in the Charisma dept. But Cruz is far and away the most Conservative and Consitutionalist candidate in the race.

He's just hard for ordinary voter's to identify with, that's why I wish he would get these SCOTUS victories out there, put kindof a personal face on all of this.

Cruz isn't a bad guy, but he's made enemies because he won't bend on his principals first as Texas Solicitor General, and now in the Senate.

Yeah I'm not a Glenn Beck fan either, he rubs me the wrong way as well...

i actually was for a trump/cruz ticket and somewhat fan of cruz until beck started spouting all his religious rhetoric about why you should vote for him. then he started using becks bullshit lie lines and you could tell they were working together, which turned me off of cruz BIG TIME.

love his voting record but you are judged by the friends you keep... and he made an awful decision by accepting the endorsement of that gutter scum beck.

Yeah Cruz wanted the Mormon vote, it was a natural fit for his beliefs, but I wish he would have distanced himself from Beck. Because even with the Mormon vote, Beck has pushed away some people that would have naturally identified with Cruz's politics.

Jeb has thrown in behind Cruz now...

But even so, George W has remained mute on the subject of endorsements. They put a lot of pressure on Cruz back then and he refused to bend. They don't like that shit.

Laura Bush hinted that she would vote for Hillary Clinton . The Bush's & the Clinton Dynasties both need to end .

Shit, they're basically the same dynasty...but I'm with you. I was totally encouraged though the Republican's sent Jeb packing. And honestly if you look at it, the two frontrunners, Trump and Cruz are both GOPe nightmares. These Neocons and RINO's have been exposed, and people are fuckin' sick of it...

I was always for the Ron Paul Tea Party strategy of Co-opting enough of the party to change the party back to real Conservatism. I think separately the GOPe will resist both Trump and Cruz, but IF they teamed up they would take over the party, there's no doubt.

The question is, will they?

I can't get past Cruz's tactics. He's a shady character because of his wife and the way his campaign runs. My brother was receiving up to 3 emails a day from Cruz asking for money. Then the emails looking like a legal paper mandating that my brother had to vote. Dirty, and all in the guise of a good Christian.

I'm on Cruz's mailing list, though I don't get that many solicitations, I get plenty. That's politics.

Regarding Heidi, I thought about that, but they've kindof been on again off again since shortly after they were married, I don't know that her politics have much effect on him or vice versa, her politics certainly hasn't appeared to effect him in his four years in the Senate.

First ladies generally don't have much pull politically, they usually find a small social issue and they focus on that...

The only exception in recent memory has been Hillary Clinton and Healthcare.

So I don't worry much about Spouses opinions.

Cruz stood with the hammer and sickle flying commies that attacked the Trump rallies. Cruz is dead to me, fuck that fucker will never have my vote.

As for me being a banker, I understand how much policy input she has at GS, and it's not much, that all comes from the Board of Directors. Her being a banker doesn't make any difference to me positive or negative.

Ted Cruz and Heidi have had a pretty rocky marriage truth be told, they've been legally separated on a couple of occasions, I believe both have filed for divorce at one time or another. Honestly I don't think her politics have much impact on him or his on her...

In four years in the Senate he's never shown it in any case.

And first ladies typically don't have much policy pull. They put them on a social issue and that becomes their pet cause for the tenure of the President. The one recent exception being Hillary Clinton and Health Care...

I don't factor the First Lady into much regarding the election, except does she have a modicum of class and grace.

When Cruz took his case to the Supreme Court was he acting as a private citizen or was he employed by the State of Texas?

According to the article he was employed by the state of Texas to win cases and he did so...

What is the big deal? That does not say anything other than he is a competent attorney and I could give you a list of those while adding a bonus that they are not as sleazy as Ted Cruz...

What I am really interested in us why were establishment big money donors creating and donating to a Super PAC for Cruz back in November 2015? The one I am most interested in is “Stand for Truth” which is run by Mitch McConnell’s attorney, Eric Lycan? Some of the biggest donors in all of Washington DC were donating to the "outsider" Cruz? "Stand for Truth" Super PAC was formed while there were still establishment candidates in the race and BEFORE the first primary vote was cast, why?

It is insulting for anyone to suggest that Ted Cruz is NOT establishment and not an insider. It is insulting to suggest that Ted Cruz was so incensed by Jose Ernesto Medellin that he took a personal crusade all the way to the Supreme Court, when all Cruz did was the job the people of the great state of Texas paid him to do...

Did Jeb Bush endorse Ted Cruz and does Neil Bush work for the Cruz campaign? That suggests to me that Cruz caved like a cheap tent in a hurricane to the lure of establishment money, just like every other lousy politician.

BTW, do you really think that New York or New Jersey will forget that after hurricane Sandy, it was Senator Ted Cruz who stood in the way of those states getting federal aid?
