There is very strong evidence that the ark was made of "transparent gold" much like the streets of the City of New Jerusalem are. This is what has caused some confusion in the description.

The Ten Commandment law, in some picturesque views of the ark, was VISIBLE in the "sides of the ark". As a matter of fact, it was seen by those who carried the ark as a constant reminder of the Law of God going before them.

In the writings of Ellen G. White, she tells of visions she had of the Law within the ark, and also of the stones on the breastplate of the High Priest. Of course, this is highly controversial stuff, so it is not surprising to see skepticism about these things. It is well known that the Urim and the Thummin were onyx stones that would brighten or darken in response to questions asked of it. Unknown to most, there were also two other Urim and Thummin that were contained within pouches on the Breastplate. What she saw was all 12 stones of the Breastplate flashing forth light, all four of the onyx stones were flashing light, and specific light from the Law were flashing forth as well--especially for some reason the light shining from the Fourth Commandment.

While the onyx stones were specifically designed to express the will of God (positive or negative), it is implied that a greater range of communication was possible--and perhaps even a greater range of operation. My study of these things and the results are so controversial that I have refrained from even discussing them. It involves very high science.

What is really intriguing about all of this is that there is evidence that light is CHANNELED down very specific "chambers" in a very specific sequence. In studying the crystals of the Breastplate (containing the entire range of crystal growth and every family of crystal), they are NOT simply arranged on a flat surface--they are three-dimensional representations according to the BIRTH of each of the tribes of Israel in three "eras". They are a "timeline", but more importantly, they are a "path". That path follows a fibronacci sequence that results in things beyond imagination. There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence that it is, indeed, a projector; BUT it is not a projection of light so much as it is a projection of matter and also TIME.

By following one of these "pathways" and using measuring instruments provided (the line of flax, the measuring rod and the plummet), we were able to plot a path all the way to the constellation Orion. Similarly, by changing a few components, we could also plot paths to other constellations as well.

We have only scratched the surface on these things. The study is ongoing. The entire Temple structure, itself, is made of the same transparent gold--the finest gold possible. If you were to REMOVE all the walls and structures surrounding all the crystals in the temple, It would resemble a sea of glass. Even the so-called PEARLS which make up the GATES of the city, are IN REALITY, more crystalline structures. There is far more to this story than just the ark of God. Even within the Seventh Day Adventist structure which is VERY BIG on the Sanctuary of God teachings, much of this truth has been spiritualized away. For the entire life of the church, the Old Testament doctrines have been at the very center of our teachings and prefigure Christ in all of His incarnations. In spite of this, we have only scratched surface. It was Ellen White's fervent belief that an understanding of the Sanctuary in relation to Biblical prophecy was CENTRAL to not only our understanding--it was also central to last-day events.

You would probably laugh at some of my conclusions on the matter, so I will not go there yet. No one deems them more crazy than me. There are times that I just do not want to believe it. It would just be so much more simpler to just sit and wait for Jesus to come and do it all for us. It involves WORK. I'm retired. I don't want to work anymore. Somehow, I think more work is AHEAD of me than what is behind. There's no rest for the weary they say--or for the wicked.

The Ark of the Covenant was a moderately sized wooden drum that was taken into battle to rally Canaanite Soldiers.

A communication device that symbolized power.

I get it . . . but in no way does the Old or New Testament indicate the Ark was transparent? Any evidence? It was layered with Gold over wood, was the wood transparent as well?

The outer sun visor is made from a polycarbonate plastic and coated with a thin layer of gold. This combination gives complete protection to the astronaut. Why? Your eyes can focus both visible and near IR light onto your retina equally well. Your eye has visible receptors but not IR ones. Why would you have to? Gold can be clear. Why would you need to see through the wood? You don't need to see through the wood on a window? This theory is just as plausible as alien power generators or gifts from god. It would also go into proving the high technocratic prehistoric civilization theory, which in MHO, there is proof of all throughout our revised versions of history. After all, history is written by the winners.

OK . . . I would buy a window through the wood lining . . . but wood is still not transparent . . . also what difference does it make to the function of the Ark . . . whether it is transparent or have a window or not?
