Well from a European perspective as long Cruz doesn't win the nomination everything's gonna be ok. Trump is a maniac sure but I'd assume a rational maniac. Cruz is just part of American Taleban. Bill Maher's "Better Ted than dead" isn't really applicable.

The only real chance the media has is to depress, demoralize and deceive
the electorate. Beating Trump 24/7 like a runaway slave, playing the gotcha
game is having the reverse effect.

America sees what is happening and is getting increasingly pissed off.

What is interesting is that there is not equal pumping up of Cruz, only
hammering on Trump. No promotion of Cruz policies, no cakewalk interviews,
no having him show his junk on the cover of Time magazine. Just Trump
bashing.

That speaks volumes.

Anyway there's nothing maniacal about wanting to protect your borders, protect your trade and protect your citizens, which is essentially what Trump's platform calls for.

The only maniacal things are what we've been doing all along (not protecting our borders, trade and people) and what Europe seems poised to do for the foreseeable future unless they, too, see a "maniac" populist candidate soar in the polls with a promise to end all this madness.

Not unstoppable, but definitely a nice SYMBOLIC win, a big psychological boost

(considering how badly media damaged him among women just in the last week with Corey Lewandowski "assault", Punish Women, Abortion is Murder, Disband NATO, Let Them All Have NUkes in Asia" and other such distortions)

Trump still has a structural problem, however. He should be above 60% if it were only about issues, leadership skills and merit. But he's been damaged enough over time in part due to his own mistakes and lack of preparation, that those 10-15 "extra" percentage points and missed endorsements, might come to haunt him at the Convention.

Remember, even the '1237' rule is just a made-up number. It's not some Constitutionally-mandated thresh-hold. Meaning: RNC can just change it tomorrow to 1500. Or they can just select their Nominee altogether, canceling all Primary results. Yes, that would mean a lot of pissed off Trump supporters. But guess what? GOP hates Trump that much! They are willing to commit party-suicide to stop him.

And part of the blame is on Donald himself - he made fun of, mocked, attacked and counter-attacked literally every powerful person in world of politics. You think there would be no consquences for that? This isn't his own The Apprentice little fiefdom where he can do what he wants for entertainment. There are grave consequences for that: liberals hate him, the Media hates him, his own Party hates him, and of course most of the world hates him.
